Maile looks really athletic behind the plate as well. Tons of confidence hes blocking those balls in the dirt. But he is not better than Martin.

I think he did actually. The Jesse Carlson was just more memorable because he was a fringe guy and was going basaltic it was amazing

Do guys remember when Jesse Carlson came into a game with the bases loaded nobody out and struck out the side against Texas. That was like one of my favourite Blue Jays memories ever lol.

You're probably right. I would just like to see them throw that extra wrinkle in there to f*** with them more when placing runners.

Its not really the Blue Jays fault though. You have to play through the play now you can't assume anything on the original call. If you're even slightly unsure throw the ball to first if the base runner isn't there.

Why not he wasn't at first. When they place the runners they can say he was out. Its the same as a player leaving the bag early on tag up plays.

That looks fair from that angle. Jesus Christ. I wish they would start throwing the balls to the bases so we stop getting screwed on these plays. Throw to first and Machado is out.
