  1. The only reason I’m up is if a trade happens.
  2. I think its the way people build things up in their head. My fear was that the Jays were going to get a lackluster return for Osuna because of the PR s*** storm they were going to face from our SJW heavy media. But it was actually a pretty good return so I come out actually feeling great. And when you look back at the Happ trade before July we were thinking about one of the Yankees better pitching prospects. Not Justus Sheffield but definitely someone to get excited about. Than we heard the faint possibility of Clint Frazier. Ultimately Happ struggled in July. The asking price came down. And the return was disappointing. Its all mind set. Ultimately we don’t know the end game. Drury might be someone who was coveted by the industry and the Jays plan to display him for 2 months and ultimately move him for something they want more in the off-season. He really just doesn’t seem like a fit for us at all. But apparently has a lot of industry appeal so it definitely has me thinking.
  3. Jesus Christ please don’t have a concussion or something
  4. But Giles has actually had a s*** load of on field success. One blowout in the playoffs in a SSS scenario doesn’t scare me. That’s happened to a lot of relievers. Maybe he just didn’t want to be in Houston anymore. You can’t put everything on the player.
  5. A lot of us thought Osuna’s arm was going to explode at anytime. Trading him was actually very popular conversation last year and now people seem upset.
  6. But removing him from the closers role before ultimately punting him to the moon was an odd move. I thought the Astros were smarter than everyone else. How did Hector Rondon pass him on the depth chart.
  7. Its also quite amazing how Giles lost his closer role and also his spot on the team all without blowing a save and doing so with one of the best strikeout to walk rate in the majors.
  8. I needed this laugh. Thank you for this.
  9. That always helps.
  10. They could have DH’ed him. And Estrada probably isn’t set to go very deep in this game. I’m shocked hes even starting. He was literally pulled from his rehab start. This seems like a complete dice roll by the Jays that if he has a decent start they might be able to trade him.
  11. Solarte looks like a mess right now. That was awful. And they picked a really weird day to give Smoak a day off.
  12. Do you have a doctor in psychology or do you just talk to Ken Giles everyday?
  13. That's why you acquire as much talent as possible and hope for the best.
  14. Only place that has done that so far is MLB Pipeline where they ranked Hector Perez 11 and David Paulino 20.
  15. Its not like hes a complete project hes actually had success hes just walks to many. The numbers he has put up despite that are actually extremely impressive.
  16. Apparently hes hurt. Sore back I believe. LGJ also unavailable and wasn't placed on the DL so our bench tonight is Justin Smoak and Dwight Smith Jr.
  17. No we are scoring 10+ runs with this lineup guaranteed.
  18. All and all I am happy with the trade. I think we got good value and significant upside. If Giles gets his head sorted out and continues to strikeout and not walk guys at elite clip this trade could very well be one sided for the Blue Jays when its all said and done.
  19. Lineup is vomit inducing.
  20. Could you imagine what the Blue Jays could have got at last years deadline. The Jays were likely asking for one of Forrest Whitley or Kyle Tucker.
  21. I was able to pick him up from the scrap heap in my fantasy league during the final week of his suspension. And now that hes not closing for a s***** Blue Jays team he became a dream asset closing for a team that will win s*** loads of games down the stretch. FeelsGoodMan
  22. My thoughts exactly. Now hopefully we can acquire some more intriguing lottery tickets for our veteran free agents to be. I was actually kind of hoping to trade Tepera to the Astros for a nice return before he got bombed by the White Sox
  23. Gilies can come up and be the closer for 2 months and than flip him in the off-season if all goes well. Hes got shelled since being demoted to Triple-A though but his issues appear to be more mental than anything.
