    It shouldn’t be really surprising about his command to be honest. He just hasn’t pitched much and he’s coming off a major surgery. And because hes also the teams regular DH he can’t solely focus on it. Even if the minor league season was going he wouldn’t have the luxury of making multiple minor league starts to try to figure it out. Angels really have no choice but to throw him out on the mound and hope he can recapture his form again. Rough situation. Not really sure what else they could do but let him throw simulated games until he starts to look like himself again.

    We have a chance to go after Kumar Rocker and I think we should take it. 50 game tank super worth.

    Why does MLB lead the world in false positive tests. This doesn’t appear to be an issue in the other sports.

    I mean it is a lot of Rob Manfreds fault. But when the players flat out rejected the idea of a bubble it really tied everyone’s hands. I honestly feel they could have tried a modified version of the Bubble that included family in these locations that would have substantially safer than the current setup. Texas literally has 2 Baseball stadiums side by side. You could have realistically had 10 teams play a season in though 2 venues. And than split the remaining teams between Arizona and Florida realigning the divisions by geography. Before ultimately hosting the playoffs exclusively at Marlins Park or something like that. Obviously Florida is s*** show but I just find it hard to believe they couldn’t manage those spring location if everyone was actually willing to buy in. I feel it was possible and nobody presented a plan with idea A, B, C. We basically got hey this is out only option and lets roll the dice and see what happens. They spent all that time arguing about money instead of actually coming up with a concept and locations to play the season safety. Its just a f***ing mess. I just feel way more could have been done.

    As much as it sucked. I think most of us were prepared for a 2020 season not taking place. Especially when doing Bubbles in Florida and Arizona got ruled out. The fact that they came back and failed miserably will be an even tougher pill for Baseball to swallow. Especially if the NBA and NHL go on without issues. I want them to be able to figure this out and get things back on track. But I also have almost zero confidence in MLB’s front office making sound and competent decisions. They really can’t delay the season for a couple weeks without removing games from the schedule. They won’t play playoff games into November. Unless they decided to bubble the MLB Playoffs in a warm location. That might be able to buy them a couple weeks to have the regular season go into October and doing the playoffs in November.

    The job is probably significantly more appealing now. But who knows.

    Well now that they are flat out canceling games for 1 or 2 people testing positive it’s looking kinda bleak. MLB went from being fine with the Braves losing both their catchers to shutting down stadiums for staff getting it barely a week later. Makes it even more annoying that the Blue Jays and Nationals are just chilling this weekend instead of playing. Does anyone really care if we play the Nationals 7 times in a row in this cluster f*** of a season? The schedule is already dumb anyway

    I’m calling a sweep. Columbus is going to bully the Leaves lol. Maple Leaves aren’t built for a physical series.

    Hopefully not. No reason between the Orioles, Rays, Blue Jays, and Nationals that the MLB can’t come up with a creative solution. If they don’t want us to play the Nationals 7 times. Send us to Baltimore and send the Rats to Washington. Everyone’s so close. Minimal travel.

    The worst part of a rain delay or rainout right now is no Baseball until Tuesday for the Jays. I’m just hoping we get a notification that the Jays will be playing somewhere. Whether its the Nationals, Rays, or Orioles. We have options. 4 teams without hour of each other currently. 2 of which aren’t scheduled to play. Lets figure something out.

    Willing to be patience with his Defence. Actually felt hes been mostly fine. The mistakes hes made can be corrected with experience like learning when to go for the ball and when to retreat to the base. Thought his hands have looked great around the base. Picked some balls in the dirt without issues so far.

    Wouldn’t be surprised if Hatch ends up taking Thornton’s rotation spot long term.

    Does he have another option? Playing for the Hot Dogs just might make him hungrier. Any chance theirs an Indy team named after Kale?

    I have nothing to say about them because they are proven major league hitters with a track record. Vlad is not. Vlad is not just off to a slow start he has a major swing issue that’s resulting in extreme ground ball numbers. If he was hitting fly balls for outs people would be less concerned. Everything gets drilled into the ground.

    It doesn’t matter if minor leagues are going on right now or not. They are playing scrimmages everyday apparently at the alternate sight. Playing major league games isn’t going to help him when hes out of shape and drilling everything in the ground. He needs to make a swing adjustment probably better to do that not at this level during the season. Like I said before maybe tough love is what he needs. If nothing else you’re sending a message.

    Send him to Rochester to get in shape and change his launch angle. Hire his own personal trainer and nutritionist. If he wants to eat a lot fine. Just make sure it’s healthy.
