Ryu was absolutely cruising. I see no reason why he couldn’t atleast start the 7th. Montoyo super conservative with pitch counts.

Marcus Semien comes to mind when I think of players who was a nightmare SS and turned himself into a very competent SS. And I don’t think Bo is as bad as he was to start. Not worried about Bo yet but only time will tell.

If Groshans is the one that stays at SS and Bo goes to 3B or 2B would be interesting. We have great infield prospects whoever ends up the best at each spot sounds like a good problem to have.

He will be fine. He has the range and plenty of arm strength to play SS. Just needs the reps.

If that’s the rule that’s f***ing stupid. So if ball goes into CF just grab the base runners leg going forward. Why let him advance if you can just grab him and keep him put.

Rowdy is most likely nothing. But I would take my chances with him doing damage over a slightly higher chance that Panik will slap a base hit. We needed to add another bat in the off-season. They gave Rowdy one more chance and its not going well if your DHing Joe Panik. -

I don’t like Stroman but I don’t think he faked an injury of manipulated anything. This could very well be about being cautious about making an injury worse ahead of free agency. But apparently he threw 5 innings in a sim game. So he was ready to go and made this decision. Seems to me if the injury was worse than it is he could have milked it and still got paid. The opt out means the Mets were planning to activate him and he either didn’t want to pitch or the Covid concerns are legit. I’m going with the latter.

Honestly I’m shocked the Leaves forced 5. I had Columbus in 3 but it also took a terrible game 2 and a historic collapse to get them this far. Just wasn’t a good matchup for them but Matthews is unreal and almost took over and did it himself. Special player. Have to question why the coach would break up that super line to start the third after they created so many chances all game. They only needed 1 at that point. I understand trying to get Nylander going but you just can’t break up that line. Best line on the ice tonight by far. They were terrors.

Just ban the 2 teams. Have a dispersal draft of their rosters based on the current records. Problem solved.

Here’s hoping we can actually score some runs in Buffalo. You just can’t win in the American League scoring 3 runs or less a game. We seem to out hit our opponents every game but all the blasts come with nobody on base.

We might only get one week of late season Grichuk this year.

SRF had potential as a reliever but his velocity has fallen off a cliff. One of the most disappointing prospects in recent memory for me. Advanced command in high school and it seemingly got worse as his pro career went along. I thought at worst he would be a late inning reliever.
