The only thing we’re due for is a managerial change. If this team had a competent manager we are probably battling the Rays for first not scratching and clawing for a wild card berth.

September 10th 2021: -Brings Julian Merryweather into a tie game in the 7th for his first appearance since April. -Elects not go use left-handed pitcher vs batter who struggles against lefties. Which promptly leads to a 3-run Homerun. For future reference this was in the middle of our undefeated September and 9 game winning streak. The type of decisions that cost you a playoff appearance. -

Connor Greene looks like he could be pretty good if he puts it all together. Pretty ballsy move using Scaryweather in a tie game in the 7th for his first appearance. Awesome to see him on the mound though.

We don’t have an everyday Third Baseman. So they don’t really have much of a choice. He’s more than fine at Third Base. Hes just utillity role in recent years. When the other option is Valera and Smith did not hit at all during his stint.

People were really ripping on Lamb last night. He’s had 7 at-bats in a Blue Jays uniform. .333 OBP. Lets give him atleast a couple starts before we decide he’s worthless. Clearly they identified him as someone they feel they can get something out of.

Blue Jays are in a smelling blood in the water approach. You gotta be looking at these 4 games against the Orioles as 4 wins. Curb stomp approach. I don’t think you want to leave any of these games on the table. We have games in hand but the other teams have already won those games.

Hopefully the rest Springer got was enough. We need him this September but he was struggling to even stay on his feet.

I think it’s way to early to make this determination. Especially considering hes been banged up most of this season. Big difference between not living up to expectations and sucking ass. Its going to be a few years until we can properly evaluate this trade. And the Blue Jays being able to retain Berriors is going to play a large role as well.
