    I still think Randal Grichuk would look great in a Rockies uniform. They were really looking to spending some money. If I was Atkins I would check in for sure.

    Seems unlikely. Feel one of them would have to be included. Would feel more comfortable parting with one if Ramirez came with an extension.

    Kinda shocked Story was willing to give up Shortstop. Assuming it was the 6 years that got it done. Seemed like the Astros were the perfect fit with him being from Texas and having the clear opening at Shortstop. He definitely makes the Red Sox offense even more scary. Believe the Jays remain the better overall team.

    I think you wait on Ramirez nobody is budging on Cleveland’s asking price. You leave them with the least amount of leverage as possible. Moreno is a no. Groshans is a consideration. Obviously it would take more but either of those 2 are the center piece.

    If Grichuk gets 400+ at-bats again I think bad things occurred and the Blue Jays didn’t make the playoffs. I can’t picture it.

    I mean it doesn’t get much better at Third Base. And we needed a Third Basemen. Hard to not like this a lot. Hoglund could be very good. But it’s hard to get attached to a guy that was just drafted and never threw a profesional inning due to injury.

    Some things are bigger than money and profession. Like his principles for one. He’s the one that ultimately has to live with the decision.

    I’m really just in position where if we get either of them I will be pretty happy lol. Schwarber makes a bit more sense because he doesn’t move Vlad. We can get Schwarber and an Infielder. If its Freeman I would imagine we are done and have to make Vlad work at 3B.

    Well there’s the Left-Handed slugger we covet. Not the one I expected but I can’t complain. Vlad switching positions again is not my favourite option though. I really hope hes not DHing every day.

    How does he not fill a need? Whose the other power hitting Lefty with a great on base percentage in our lineup? Biggio? Sometimes the exact need for your team is not available. Realistically we are probably starting the season with Espinal at Third and Biggio at Second. So you go out and get a bat that can help you. He fits beautifully. He can be rotated at 1B, LF, and DH. Making sure Springer and Vlad get DH at-bats. The only real issue is Grichuk. And who cares about Grichuk.

    Ah I see must have missed them. Wasn’t attempting to stir anything up. Just saw my post was deleted and was really confused. I see now that its still a sensitive subject for some. All I know is I’m excited to go the games again!

    Would have preferred this without the third year. Not a huge fan. Would have preferred this money was put elsewhere. He could surprise us like Matz though. His Major Career has been extremely unimpressive thus far however.

    God do I want Kyle Schwarber. He absolutely transforms this already good lineup. High on base slugger that hits lefty. Can rotate between 1B, LF, and DH. Bat him second Springer Schwarber Vlad Jr Due up in the first inning every night. You can’t pitch around that. They are either doing damage or getting on base.

    Determination really does pay off lol. I guess it really is a good look when a team liked you before you broke out and were willing to pay you top dollar once you did.

    This team is past stop gaps. They are either going to make a big play in free agency or make it in the trade market.

    Have to say I’m a little disappointed. I thought they went with Gausman because Ray was holding out for much more than he was worth. The contracts being similar it seems clear they preferred Gausman. I hope we target Rodon

    They definitely aren’t giving another starter 100 plus million. But they will absolutely add another starter.
