  1. I’m trying but there’s better bullpen options. Jay Jackson was one of them.
  2. He doesn’t got that dog in him too miss bats though. He’s in the AL East now.
  3. Yankees took Pop’s sinker deep twice today lol. It fits perfectly in the modern game with those uppercut swings. Swing and miss is King.
  4. Pearson has barely pitched in the Majors. And Pop has given up more hits than IP and barely strikes anyone out. Hard to imagine him being anymore than a passable Middle Reliever who floats around the league for a handful of years.
  5. I think Pearson can rack up K’s. He just hasn’t pitched for an extended period of time to form any consistently. He has dominant over powering stuff and has displayed it. Pop throws hard but hitters cover everything he throws.
  6. Am I the only one who think Pop f***ing blows? He’s literally nothing. As long as Thornton doesn’t make the team. I actually feel Richards could bounce back and be effective because he actually misses bats. Problem is when he doesn’t.
  7. Not a fan of that decision. He was fantastic all Spring. He didn’t even give up a run. He misses a ton of bats. He’s probably going to go somewhere and have a very good season. Literally don’t know what else he could have done.
  8. Crazy that this time last year Berrios was the Opening Starter and this season he might open as the 5th lol
  9. Mikolas is a bitch. That comment he made about Lars returning from the WBC confirmed it. Hope Lars f***s his wife.
  10. Looks like the Regular Lineup is going to be playing more exclusively good. I think every team should play their starters the last 2 weeks of Spring to make sure everyones good to go. Atleast get them 3 at-bats anyway.
  11. Gabriel Moreno winning NL ROY
  12. It doesn’t matter he’s dog s*** with the bat. He should only hit against lefties. Blue Jays have evolved beyond defensive only players. Ryan Goins 2.0 should be bench bound or platooned.
  13. Correct. I’m not even remotely confused. I went over all of this in my post. It doesn’t make sense to lose depth for no reason. I was merely pointing out if you DFA him you lose him. If you keep Luke’s you could probably have Bernard start the year in AAA. So you keep both in that scenario. For a variety of reasons it makes sense to keep Lukes. The main reason being he’s already on the 40-man with options. You decided to take one of the points from the post and run away with it on a tangent. But you do you big guy.
  14. Its March we really don’t need Otto Lopez getting 4 bats a week for the next 2 months. He will work his way into the mix at some point. I would rather it happens with 180-200 AAA at-bats under his belt. Opposed to the 12-18 he would get here. With Merrifield, Biggio, and Espinal all being rostered he just has no playing time. I don’t even think all 3 of those guys should be here. And hopefully with the depth Espinal doesn’t have a single AB against a RHP this Season.
  15. Hey Spanky so I see you are confused a little bit because reading is hard. In my post I stated it made more sense to keep Lukes because he was already on the 40-man opposed to bringing Bernard as the 26th man because he would need to be added. The Blue Jays have only so much many slots on the 40-man so keeping both doesn’t make any sense. I didn’t suggest we should DFA Lukes but it could happen to get someone else on the roster at some point. For what its worth through he f***ing sucks and brings virtually nothing to the table. But he’s fine at the end of your bench or a guy that goes up and down from AAA. That is the extent of his value.
  16. Excited to watch real Baseball in a week. I’m glad Ohtani fathered Trout last night though.
  17. I have no reason to lie about not watching this tournament. I might turn it on if Japan is ahead late in the game.
  18. Otto Lopez, Addison Barger, and Spencer Horwitz should all be in AAA playing everyday. They still have a chance to be something more decent than an end of the bench player. And would get more value currently getting that playing time. Journeymen like Lukes or Bernard are perfect for 26th man. You pick whatever one provides you with something useful whether it’s Defense, Speed, or a chance not to be useless with the bat. Lukes is already on the 40-man so he seems like the most logical choice. Although he could just be swapped out for Bernard. Probably lose Lukes on waivers which hurts you depth wise a little bit. You bring Lukes to start you could probably keep Bernard for AAA. Unless he gets a last minute shot to catch on elsewhere.
  19. Yes but not every game. Probably a handful that I’m interested in. I really don’t have time to watch Baseball all night during the week. Twitter exists Spanky.
  20. I would watch more College Baseball if it was readily available. I really don’t enjoy going down the internet rabbit hole to find something. I just don’t think I can get into the WBC unless I see the Canadian players care more. We really have no shot at getting out of the group if our best Pitchers don’t show up. You can only get upsets with great pitching. The teenage A-Ball pitcher they trotted out against Team USA was pretty embarrassing.
  21. Lukes makes the roster so legit prospects don’t have to sit on the bench as the 26th man.
  22. You’re not. I couldn’t careless about it. Haven’t watched a single pitch. Just glad there’s no Blue Jays in it so we don’t have to worry about injury.
  23. I actually forgot we had Brandon Belt. That’s kinda cool. Hopefully he does stay healthy.
  24. Congrats to him.
