  1. Pirates got another Gerrit Cole hopefully they don't f*** this one up.
  2. Yup watching on TSN
  3. No he's never going to be an average runner and he has little legs because how short he is. But the load it would take off his body and the fludity he would get in his body would definitely improve his performance running where he could be less of base clogger. Without question being lighter improves your bodies mechanics. Its why you see a lot of NBA players especially big man trim down later in their career. LeBron is playing at his lightest weight since he was a teenager. Dwight Howard is another example. Look how lean he was with the Lakers compared to where he was in his prime.
  4. Varsho did the job there. Would you prefer he just drive in the run yes. But at the bare minimum your goal is to pull the ball and make sure you get the runner over. The fact that Kirk got thrown out in that situation is humiliating. The ball was hit and thrown across the diamond before you can advance second to third is embarrassing. That's a weight issue that needs to be addressed. He is morbidly obese and performing as professional athlete. It's a problem.
  5. I actually felt he held up initially but they replay the bat broke the plane.
  6. That could happen to anyone. Pitchers are athletes and run and shag fly balls in the Outfield pretty commonly. I'm willing to out bet every pitcher on our staff could run better than Kirk.
  7. Pitchers can be used as pinch runners. Its not common but it's an option that should always be explored if needed.
  8. Kirk should see some time in AAA though. I don't feel he deserves to be rostered at this point in time. Heineman gives us a better effort and chance to win right now. And quite frankly don't want to see him back unless he makes a commitment to getting in shape.
  9. This would be huge for the teams confidence going into the break. This is the type of game they have been consistently losing this year.
  10. 3-1 count runner on third. Zero outs and you foul out to the f***ing catcher.
  11. It's hard to believe the Jays are 10th in OPS. It feels like they are bottom 10.
  12. I feel like Merrifield should have caught that fly ball to LF.
  13. Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't he offered a sizable extension at one point and declined?
  14. Bassit needs to get his head out of his ass coming out of the ASB. He’s getting paid a lot of money and the Jays had to give up a valuable draft pick to sign him. Its time to get it f***ing going.
  15. They will probably have to this year because they don't really have much of a bonus pool with no Second Round pick.
  16. Vladdy would certainly win the ground ball derby. Those kids fielding grounders are going to be missing a lot of teeth.
  17. This team makes me want to scream into a pillow.
  18. Jesus those numbers against lefties are woeful. The sad part is we saw this coming in Spring. We just assumed they would add another right-handed bat.
  19. Nolan Schanuel would be a boring pick.
  20. Spanky you got no hit yesterday shut your mouth.
  21. Didn't think get some BS first round pick for J-Rod winning rookie of the year lol. Some incentive to have top prospect start the year in the Majors and win ROY instead of holding them back to manipulate service time.
  22. How is Twerkelson hitting third in a Major League Lineup? He's absolute dog s***.
  23. Hopefully the Jays can actually hit on a pick tonight. Wild the Mariners made the playoffs last year and still ended up with 3 first round picks basically.
