    The fact that Rivera has survived 3 managerial changes is staggering. He’s been here since Cito Gaston’s last tenure.

    He’s still a young controllable arm that throws hard. He is a guy the Jays might have to part with as a sweetener in a trade especially considering the Jays lack prospect capital. But no not a huge asset at all.

    I’m remarkably unimpressed with Pearson. Just seems like a guy at this point. I wouldn’t hesitate to include him in any deal.

    Watching Varsho hit is f***ing painful. I think I would would rather watch Pillar hit

    Orioles have actually been remarkably consistent this year. You really feel with that rotation they should have a s***** 2 or 3 week strech at some point but it hasn't happened yet.

    With Manoah seemingly back? And Ryu around the corner I don't think the need to add a starter isn't nearly as high. If they were to get one it should be one you expect to make a playoff start not a depth option. They need some bats first and foremost. A high end reliever if you can swing it.

    It wouldn't make sense to bring back Kiermaier if the plan is for Varsho to ultimately play CF. I love KK but hes going to be 34 and he already has injury issues. He's not going to run like greyhound forever in the Outfield. We need more from LF no question. It just would be nice if the LF wasn't a dumpster fire defensively.

    Jays badly need a right handed hitting OF. Which is crazy because we apparently use to have to many. But Varsho can't play everyday agianst lefties anymore. That's gotta nipped in the butt. Like his OPS is not impressive in the first place but it takes an absolute nose dive against them. I'm confused they opt to use him in CF vs lefties instead of just Kiermiaer.

    Ended up being a pretty good day Baseball. 2 games and 2 wins. Would be sick to sweep the Tigers going into the ASB.

    If he made it he would have been applauded for great heads up base running. You can’t have it both ways. Playing aggressive isn’t always going to be successful. And Chapman isn’t one to usually make stupid mistakes.

    Agreed I think if they engaged the White Sox on that kind of deal it would be apart of a bigger deal especially involving our top prospects. Its all hypothetical. But if the White Sox were shopping Roberts for any reason they would be looking for a trade to really jump start the rebuild in a big way. I do think they will be very active on the trade market.

    To be clear that is what I would believe the White Sox would ask for. I'm not suggesting we make that trade or want to do that trade. But he asked me what do I think it would take. It's going to command 2 top 5 prospects and and a player they can put in their lineup. Jays don't have any Outfield prospects to trade away. At least none with any significant value.

    That would be the only starting point the Jays have in that kind of trade. You think you're getting him for less lol?

    I would imagine both Orelvis Martinez and Ricky Tiedemann would have to be in the deal. They will probably want a young controlable OF to put in CF so likely Varsho. And than a few secondary pieces.
