  1. Still a drop in the bucket for Rogers. Ed Rogers alone has a net worth of 11.5 billion.
  2. Rogers makes a metric f*** ton of money. I will give them credit for willing to spend a lot on the Blue Jays. Absolute horrendous company to deal with and they massively overcharge their customer base for what they offer. But so do most services in Canada. Statue talks are a bit premature they need to actually do something first. The Ted Rogers statue has always been very cringe.
  3. The Santander deal never made sense without other moves on the horizon. There was always going to be other moves. The needle never moved with Santander alone. With Max and Bregman or Alonso or both it does substantially. And the Jays could easily afford it. It’s whether or not it’s worth it to them.
  4. The solution seems to be the Jays signing both with a Vlad extension.
  5. Probably because his best position is Catcher and should absolutely be catching whenever possible. The point is he could play several different positions.
  6. Very exciting if healthy.
  7. I literally have not thought about Moreno being on the roster in 2 years. The only thing I said in this thread is he’s fat and Moreno is more versatile. Both true, So what’s the real problem? That bored eh?
  8. So I don’t live in the past like you. The trade from 2 years ago is completely irrelevant. Evaluating the current roster Kirk should be signed long term. There’s zero in the pipeline. He’s very good at what he does, I would have preferred Moreno 2 years ago. We don’t live in 2 years ago.
  9. Flip flop from what? Bowling Ball is an excellent Catcher,
  10. I mean hopefully the plan is for him to be resigned long term. Obviously his body is scary but not having a Catcher of his calibre is scarier.
  11. I’m actually really happy with Kirk at Catcher. I was just pointing out he was fat lol.
  12. I mean one is morbidly obese and the other is an athlete that could probably play any position on the field. But yea other than that pretty close.
  13. Rays swooped in out of nowhere and got an absolute steal. Very very good player.
  14. Pretty evident by Cohen basically playing hardball to the media about the negotiations . He's not taking Scott Boras's s*** and knows Pete wants to stay. The market clearly isn't as robust as he thinks it is.
  15. Daily reminder that no credible source is linking Blue Jays and Pete. Only Boras stirring up the rumour mill to push the Mets.
  16. Quite happy with this,
  17. Would be cool. But nobody reputable is covering this story. Just don’t understand why the Mets would let Alonso walk at 3/75. Boras wanted 5+ and 100m+. Boras using Jays to force the Mets to come back to the table. If those terms were on the table for the Mets he would be a Met right now.
  18. Would be kinda sick having 3 guys that could hit 40 Homeruns in the lineup. Basically a recreated version of Donaldson, Baustia, and Encarnacion.
  19. No not Soto or nothing. Jays needed atleast 2 bats. The 4th and 5th year make me a bit nervous. But the terms of the deal are otherwise pretty reasonable. Both Vlad and him will need to DH alot. Will see they needed power. Still need another bat. Preferably someone who can reliably play an actual position well.
  20. This would be ideal.
  21. God forbid I have higher hopes lol.
  22. The deferral was nice to read. A future Rogers problem.
  23. 5 years for Santander is crazy. Desperation really has set in.
  24. Oh yes please. One of the best to ever do it.
