  1. Wouldn’t be surprised if Alan Roden impacted this year’s roster. That kid can hit. And we got a couple of OF’s who can’t so if the offense struggles as I would expect it will. Can see Roden stealing at-bats from both Varsho and Kiermaier this season. Wonder it they will start Roden in AAA.
  2. You're gonna have to accept they will be class of this division for a long time. Our only hope is them spending on the wrong guys. Baltimore is a s*** hole so its possible dudes won't want to play and re-sign there though.
  3. I'm down for that option as well. He's got plenty of Arm for 3B. But obviously his Defense and range at SS is elite.
  4. Ummmm can the Jays get Adames instead and move Bo to 2B.
  5. I would rather his money be allocated elsewhere once again not that difficult. Jays have a good Bullpen. They can trade from strength to address other concerns? Like either you don’t know a tax penalty exists or you’re purposely ignoring it. This isn’t even about Garcia’s ability. I have zero doubt he will he fine in his role. I like some of the arms in AAA and would like to see them get some looks this Season. Depth is good. Lets use that to build a better roster.
  6. Fire into the sun is an expression. At no point did I think they should dump him for nothing. I wouldn’t mind if they moved on him from him though. Watching him hit is pure agony. Especially the bunting.
  7. Jays have pen depth. Very good pen depth actually. They don’t need to give Garcia 6 million if they are struggling to build an offense. Like its not outrageous contract but with the Jays right up against the tax it all adds up. One thing that would he fun to track is how many relievers sign minor league deals this off-season out perform Garcia because middle relievers aren’t that hard to find.
  8. No that one was purely personal. Would still love for that to happen.
  9. It’s not an overreaction to be concerned about the lineup. I didn’t call the combo of them gross. I called the 5-9 has the potential to be gross if under performance continues and injuries happen. I like Danny Jansen. He can’t stay healthy. Kirk is not someone I feel should be hitting 5th for a team with aspirations to win a World Series. It Kirk/Janeen was 7/8 would be feeling much better. Not a difficult concept to understand.
  10. Kirk was horrendous at the plate last Season and Jansen is made of glass. And yet that’s your likely 5 hole slot that could go to s*** quickly with injury and under performance.
  11. I was looking at some of the Jays lineup concepts people were posting on X today and f*** even with the Turner signing 5-9 looks f***ing gross. RF Springer SS Bo 1B Vlad DH Turner C Jansen/Kirk LF Varsho 2B Biggio/Espinal/Scheneider 3B IKF CF Kiermaier Factor in injuries and I’m not very optimistic this team scores runs this Season. Team is 2 bats away from being a serious contender. And they can’t expect the pitching to stay as healthy. At the very minimum they should be looking for a platoon for Kiermaier and Varsho depending on the matchup. 2B, 3B, LF, and CF could all be offensive black holes.
  12. Matchup related stuff related late in games. It’s nice to be able to break up a string of righties which could potentially alter bullpen decisions. But at the end of the day teams will use their best guys.
  13. I know people are disappointed overall with this off-season. I think we all are. But Justin Turner is a good hitter and has been for a long time. He’s going to help this Lineup a lot. Don’t really think this is the thread to be overly negative in. I prefer they do a deal like this over breaking the bank for players they aren’t in love with such as Chapman, Bellinger and even Soler. Which could all backfire massively. This is one-year deal for a guy who looked like he still has plenty in the tank. It’s not like he’s coming off a down year. His numbers would have either led or been second in most offensive numbers on this team. He’s also done it on the biggest stage
  14. It's really not. Sam Presti is notorious for his unwillingness to unload draft capital and never winning anything. He's been doing it a long time. He also fumbled a dynasty by getting peanuts for James Harden. Which is regarded as one of the worst trades in NBA History.
  15. My hope is the Orioles just turn into the MLB version of the OKC Thunder. Elite farm system do stockpiling draft assets but never succeed at anything because they won't part with any of it.
  16. This isn't even about Whit. I didn't want them to bring back Whit. I wanted a better player in general. IKF being better than Whit is irrelevant. Cause him playing 3B everyday and getting guaranteed money for 2 years sucks in general.
  17. Don’t forget Yimi making 6m. Could have been the difference in giving Chapman a big one year deal to retest the market next year
  18. Whit could actually hit. IKF sucks a metric f*** ton of dick at the plate. Barger is a wild card at this point to impact a Major League roster. He must first accomplish staying healthy. But he’s basically a higher ceiling Biggio, He can play all the Infield positions and corner OF spots,
  19. Not sure if Vlad is good enough to be a cover athlete but I’m happy for him and it’s a good looking cover. Plus they put Jazz Chisholm on the cover last year and he might be the worst cover athlete ot any sports game all time that wasn’t a country exclusive. He’s not even a top 20 OF in Baseball. Bizarre choice. Injuries have really limited him though.
  20. The Biggio hate here is wild. He’s literally a very good extra player. And paying IKF wss f***ing dumb.
  21. I like the signing a proven veteran performer. You can put him somewhere in the middle or the lineup and he will reliably drive in runs.
  22. Polanco would have been a nice get for the Jays. Spring Training around the corner so much work to be done.
  23. Shitbriuk would be hitting cleanup mid season f*** that.
  24. If they are willing to sign this ass clown should have just signed Chapman.
  25. Hoskins is a really good fit for the Brewers. Think he can have a really nice resurgence there and get back on the market next Season. Should also set the market for Soler and Martinez a little more. Both would be fantastic additions.
