I don't think either of them are going to require a 5 year commitment. Bats is 35 and Edwin is 33 they will get 2 or 3 year deals. Which I would be very comfortable with. Nobody is giving them 5 years until they are 40 and 38.

I don't think they owe him anything. Its not Shapiro's fault Dunedin sucks. I would be fine with bringing him back on a minor league contract.
