    Well Arenciba isn't the best example. But yes Thole rarely fumbles a knuckleball. For everything else hes s*** at. He can actually catch Dickey. Plus he can't hit regardless so we don't have to worry about his offense being f***ed up like with Martin.

    Give me a list of backup catchers who do that. I would rather not have Dickey on the roster and have a backup catcher who can frame. But since Dickey is here Thole should be catching him.

    I think Barney is on the roster regardless. He got a major league contract. He looked nice in his stint last year. He can certainly play defense. Will be interesting to see him at SS once I can actually watch the game again.
