  1. Your last paragraph seems to point pretty clearly at the coaching. I'm sure the FO knows what's wrong, but the coaching hasn't been able to explain it in an easy and simple way for the the players to digest and consistently implement. This is the heart of the issue.
  2. Are most of these 6 BBs by Gausman because of an Ump show? I haven't been watching.
  3. Game. This offense will be lucky to score 4 R between the next 2 games combined, let alone tonight.
  4. Absolutely! From the view podcast interviews I've heard from him, he also strikes as a guy who would want to bust his ass to reward the team and earn the contract, as opposed to the type of player with a planet sized ego or born with a silver spoon up their ass. Personality-wise he actually reminds a ton of Janson, another guy I want is trying to extend this offseason, who may also come cheap because of age and injury history.
  5. This. He's a pretty humble and blue collar guy who nearly retired a year ago. I don't think he's taking this season for granted at all. If you offer him something like 6Y/20M or 7Y/30M, he very well could take it.
  6. This is the type of move AA has made many times in Atlanta. He signs guys young, and most of the time it works out for him. The time to get best value on Davis would definitely be this offseason, if he carries this run to the end of the season. If the K rate is around 25% and the BB rate stays above 15%, and the power continues, I would definitely try and extend him. I don't care if the BABIP luck starts to decline and his doubles and singles start finding gloves, if the process and approach is the same, and he's still hitting dingers, you absolutely should try and extend him imo.
  7. Seeing something like this has to be an inditement on the coaching staff right? Most of that decline is offense related. I can't see how a hitting strategist, in Hudgens, can keep his job when both the analytics and the eye-test displays consistently horrendous ABs for a huge a sample size across the season now. How is a player with as much talent as Vlad continually walking to the plate looking like a deer in the headlights? It doesn't add up.
  8. Try this line-up: 1. DH Springer 2. 3B Biggio 3. SS Bichette 4. 2B Schneider 5. 1B Horwitz 6. C Kirk 7. RF Lukes 8. LF Merrifield 9. CF Kiermaier I bet this line-up does far better than anyone thinks just because it's filled with guys who guys great ABs.
  9. I wouldn't be surprised if our "leader" drains the team with each terrible AB he provides. It's worth a try.
  10. Yimmmmmmi Garcia is trash
  11. No one feels more vindicated, after Manoah tried to bury his career following that comment. And Recker wasn't even a dick about it, just pointed out he could be even better, and highlighted one of the few areas of improvement, at the time.
  12. End of Belt's time in TOR? He did amazing for us, if so! Horwitz will get a nice run here now to prove himself.
  13. Perfect line-up, unfortunately they don't seem to want to budge him paat clean-up, regardless of merit.
  14. Ughhh what is going on with our BP, it seems everyone is struggling at the same time except Francis.
  15. Clement absolutely should be starting until Chappy is back. His ABs are desperately needed.
  16. My God, Clement & Horwitz should be in the lineup. It's the f***ing Royals and these "vets" can't do s***.
  17. Honestly, yes, run this lineup. 1. Springer 2. Bo 3. Belt 4. Schneider 5. Vlad 6. Kirk 7. Varsho 8. Clement 9. Kiermaier
  18. Vladdy needs this season to be over so bad lol
  19. Does that explain why similar exit velo flyballs are going shorter distances this season though? My guess is what he said, that it's stance/gather related.
  20. How is the launch angle compared to 2021?
  21. I agree, that's a decent explanation for the decrease in distance despite the high exit velos. He needs to revamp his entire stance in the offseason, and meet with the sports psychologist to fix his approach and game plan between the ears.
  22. Vladdy has a $0.10 brain
