  1. Queue the Smoak haters and mushroom lovers
  2. Pull Estrada. Damn you, Gibby!!!
  3. I still like Tulo leading off and Revere batting 9th (who's then essentially you're leadoff guy after the first time around). Pillar 8th in that mix is good.
  4. It's true. But many fans don't get that. They want everyone to be a robot and don't want to hear about the touchy feely side of anything. Just give me FIP and to hell with anything else.
  5. He either doesn't... Or we'll find out.
  6. More movement on the fastball. More advanced breaking ball.
  7. And Cecil's been around even longer. Sanchez is only 23. There's nothing delicate about it. This is his first full season in the majors. If he can't perform in high leverage situations (especially at this time of year) then you move someone in that can. Donaldson and Price have already said it better (about getting it done, and trying doesn't mean anything)). The hook came quicker last night that I've ever seen for Sanchez. My guess is Sanchez's next outing will be to face one right-handed hitter. Nothing more. Hopefully build his confidence back up slowly.
  8. He pulled Cecil out of the closers role when things weren't working out. He bailed on Delabar when the command issues didn't improve. I think a week ago, Gibby leaves Sanchez in for more than 2 batters...he had a quicker hook with him than he has in the past...and I don't think Sanchez is long for the 8th inning.
  9. Stick with Osuna as closer. The only issue with him is that he's gotten fastball happy. A couple more changeups and sliders will fix that right up. Move Lowe into the 8th. Leave Cecil to do exactly what he's doing. Bring Sanchez in to lower leverage situations and let him work out what his issues are that way.
  10. Benji Molina
  11. With Mark Buehrle starting, it takes balls to want to start a GDT, knowing there's a good chance that he might struggle again on the mound and the outcome might not be favourable. So you might as well allow someone who's balls are big, bouncy, and blue as well start it.
  12. The Rangers run differential is 0. They are 12 games over .500 The A's run differential is -7. They are 21 games under .500
  13. We need to get you a girl
  14. Except for the spelling of clinch.
  15. Open your mouth?
  16. Never count your chickens. It's certainly within their grasp... And things are trending positively, but I'm not going to assume that they'll lock it up. All it takes is an untimely 2-3 games losing streak and 2-3 game win streak by the Royals. But damn...locking up home field would taste almost as sweet as the poon I had last night.
  17. It has a twat too...but I'm not gonna name names.
  18. T But it's their right
  19. No chance he re-signs. The Jays have bigger fish to fry, and there will be a team that gives him 4 years and $50M based on this season. I'm not sure I'd want to commit that to Estrada. God bless him for what he's done this year...but I'm never comfortable with those soft tossers on the mound.
  20. 2016 Wishlist: The second of World Series Back-to-Back Titles
  21. I love how easily people fall in love with hot streaks. Goins has been much better over the past couple of months than ever before. But to think that 'yup...he's got it figured out...no need for Tulo' is just flat out wrong and misguided.
