I'm not saying that his health hasn't been an issue...I'm just saying that I think they'll decide that he's more likely to be more successful as a reliever (due to performance issues) before they give up on him as a starter because of health. Both are realistic options though.

Has hired velocity jumped? He was 90-92 T94 the last I checked. That said, there's always a chance he moves to the pen... But I think it would be more likely that it's due to performance than health.

Being better than Cola in the OF still doesn't make it OK for him to be in the OF.

And give up 35 runs with his defence. As a DH I might've been interested...but we already have one of those now...at a cheaper rate. If they're seriously looking to acquire Bruce, the price tag had better be very low.

I remember being glued to the internet during the final hours of that negotiating period and reading in a couple of places that he turned down $1m from the Jays. Meaningful could also mean that he was looking for $2m and an offer of $1m was meaningless to him.
