I really don't care. Just curious what the approach will be. Ennis out indefinitely with a broken ankle. That's terrible for him. He was having such a nice little bounceback season.

He was...and he did...but if you look at every Jays season from 1994-2018, the two you're gonna have the fondest memories of were 2015 and 2016. Would those have happened without the deadline moves? Don't know...I don't think so though.

I like that the organization is finally not trying to create the illusion of competitive ball with duct tape. Embrace the s*** that is the Blue Jays for the foreseeable future, and let's build something special. It will take a few years, but I've been waiting 25 since the last championship...I have patience...just do it right.

Even if you get Cy Stroman that's only 20 % of your rotation. Could Sanchez find his 2016 self? Sure. Could Borucki build on his rookie season and be a solid #3? I guess. Could SRF find the strike zone consistently and be a nice #4? Yes. Is it possible that they catch lightning in a bottle and a #5 emerges that is a solid contributor? It happens every year. But I'm gonna go with the math on this one and expect very few (possibly none) of those things to happen.

What will it take for the Raptors to load CJ Miles into a canon and blast him into the sun? We're getting close to the half way point of the season. I think we've all seen enough of Miles to know what to expect from him. Find a veteran that can hit a consistent 3, and feed CJ Miles to the wolves.

I'm probably more of a "purist" than the majority here, but even I don't see any problem with the shift. You have 9 players on the field and you should be able to position them however you want. If you want to put 7 of them in left field cause you think that gives you a competitive advantage you should be allowed to do that...but then you have to deal with the consequences when the hitter slaps it to right field. And if you want to have all 4 infielders on the right side that's fine...but if hitters decide to start dropping bunts down the left field line, then you deal with the outcome.

I don't disagree. Too many people thought Romano was anything more than a plug. He isn't. Now I don't have to listen to how Romano will be a big piece in the rotation going forward.
