Yup. Big sponsor dollars. The game is s*** and I don't think that's a secret to anyone...this is basically mandatory appearances from the league stars to get their faces out there and advertise the NHL. The ones that hate the game the most are already balls deep into the NHL so that's not the target audience anyway. I just ignore that weekend and do something else. It's over quick enough.

What criteria are you using then? Should Gurriel be on the list cause he's still young? The typical criteria used are once a player loses his rookie eligibility, they drop off a prospect list.

f*** fan perception. It's already been proven that fans will come out to support a winner...not mediocrity. Build a winner. Don't rush and do it half assed. A proper build of a championship calibre team is the only way. Besides...LOL at this team being anywhere near an 81 win team. -
