    Social media is the reason this pandemic has gotten as bad as it has. Giving people a platform to be heard is a bad idea. There are way too many impressionable and stupid people out there. The amount of misinformation that's being assumed and shared as fact is staggering. I think without Twitter, a much larger portion of the the population would just do what they're told and not try to spin it into some sort of soapbox. I know this isn't the right thread for all this, but we're already deep in this Covid rabbit hole here.
