    I have found the opposite IIRC. Harder change was better, irrelevant to fastball velo.

    The speed of Sanchez's change up is not a problem at all. It may actually be beneficial as it acts more like a splitter. Change ups get whiffs because of their movement, velocity separation doesn't actually matter that much. The problem with Sanchez's change is that he can't command it very well. He needs to throw it more to learn to command it.
