  1. I have to say Little has been a wonderful surprise.
  2. That sounds f***ing horrible. Glad he didn't get an artery or anything.
  3. I'm not going to ask a stupid question like if he's okay, clearly he's not, but is it life-threatening not okay or really crappy night but he'll live?
  4. Not an easy play but a good center fielder makes that catch. We'll gladly take it.
  5. He wasn't even really good against San Diego. And Texas can't hit their way out of paper bag. I don't see how he lasts much longer. They already had to split up his spot and the bullpen day because he IS a bullpen day.
  6. I guess there's a difference between the Athletics and the Phillies eh? Lol. On to the next one. Francis needs to add some sleight of hand to go with his smoke and mirrors.
  7. Well at least Barger gave us a little bit of wood tonight.
  8. With Turnbull close and Laurer and Lucas around, you may very well be right. Maybe it happens after this game even but they probably give him one more.
  9. Ouch, you became a fan barely after the glory days. Probably the worst time to become a fan considering the drought that would ensue. Congratulations for hanging in there.
  10. Didn't the Blue Jays come back from a 7-0 deficit in the Kingdome when Dave Winfield hit the go ahead Grand slam off Schooler in the ninth to win 8-7? Is there one other person on this board that remembers that? I'm just saying it CAN happen.
  11. Eat it Schwarber. Francis won't let YOU beat him!
  12. I understand your confusion but the Philadelphia Athletics no longer exist. There's the Athletics, who suck, and then Philadelphia, who doesn't.
  13. Ryan Yarbrough. What a nice rotational depth piece to have. Who knew?
  14. Beat up on some bad pitching. As we should. Phillies up next, Bryce due back, they lost all their games without him but he's back just in time for us of course. Much different pitching than what we were afforded against the Athletics. Let's see how much of this recent offensive explosion is real.
  15. I still think the pitching is more important. another bat won't make a difference if games get away from us early.
  16. They need a front line starter much more urgently than they need a bat. Preferably both if we're being greedy, but they don't have enough starters that can stop good offenses from scoring in my opinion.
  17. That's probably a little too defense heavy, if we lose Bo, we have to replace him with some thump. When healthy this year's team is already pretty ridiculous defensively: Varsho, Gimenez, Kirk, Clement, Straw, Barger, Heineman even Roden. I can't think of many games this year where we beat ourselves with bad defense, it just doesn't really happen.
  18. If both Barger and Clement are hitting well it becomes a bit of a problem fitting both in as regulars when the team is fully healthy because it pushes Barger to the outfield and we have a lot of quality outfielders when healthy. That's a great problem to have though and I hope everyone is playing well enough where it becomes a problem.
  19. I guess he wants to challenge Chad Green for relief HR's. Now a double. At what point is it a concern?
