    they offered EE last winter/spring 2 years and unknown $ which is to your point that they knew he would not have have taken it. I think they could of signed EE well below the 4/80 last winter and that is what they should be critized for.....I hope EE gets a good contract and comes back to burn this FO

    Jays loose Cecil with no real lefty in the pen but Loup. I guess they are thinking at worst Liriano if he doesn't get a starter roll. Not a answer to the lefty problem but should of offered Benoit a one year deal......

    The individual player and the extent of the Meniscus injury will dictate the recovery time and like Saunders his future fielding could be affected......The Jays have a habit of down playing the extent of player injuries so who knows....

    Liriano pitches a gem but Jays offence give no run support and stumble badly which hands the AL east to Boston..........four games to go lets see if this plot can get thicken in the WC.

    EE can play first base and proved it this year. Is he the best no. Is he the worst no. But he is serviceable with ability to produce 30+ HR's and 100 + RBI. JB is at 20 HR with a short season with a minor injury plagued year and has shown again he is a clutch hitter. JB will get better than qualifying offers but I doubt he will sign with the Jays. The front office signed Smoak for a reason and I think it was because they wouldn't commit seriously to EE.........
