    I came into the game thinking the strategy would've been Dickey for half the game 5 IP and then Price for the rest 4 IP, so Price would be on regular rest for game 1 and Stro- for Game 5. When Gibby took Dckey out exactly after twice through the order. I figured that was exactly the plan.

    I never saw it as what would happen, but what I would like. But I was basing it off the -1.7 WAR I saw on Baseball-Reference, thinking there was no way the Jays would offer more than 1.5 if that was his true WAR. But after comparing it to Fangraphs calculation, I can see how the 2.9 figure is more realistic and how the Jays will probably offer closer to that amount.

    I used Baseball-Reference. Knew there was variations across different sites, but had no idea it could be that extreme difference. -1.7 to 1.5 is huge

    Because he had a 13-5 record, all he does is win as Zaun says. Seriously though, I get that he gets a raise from his minimum-type deals because now he's arb eligible, but I think $2.9M is high. He posted a -1.7 WAR. I say $1.25M + $1M in incentives

    Yeah, it was said earlier that the projected figure for Cecil was miscalculated and they were going to fix it. No way he gets 1.4M, I just left it as it was though so the source was the same. It's since been fixed on MLBTR so, I've updated it
