  1. Before the season I thought it would be a good idea to buy an extra flexpack in the wife's name. So this morning I was able to buy 2 tickets for every game with the 24 tickets by using both codes. I had previously bought extra flex packs on my sole account but this year without the postseason guarantee for flex packs, I thought I would try something different and I'm glad I did. Really surprised that I was able to buy 200 level tickets despite only having 500 level flexpacks.
  2. Late to this thread.... He was a sideshow when he played for my NFL team, there's no way I would want the circus that would follow him here should we sign him. I'd be happy to be radiation if it means Tebow stays away!
  3. The better half and I have been to about 30 games so far and are going to about 10 more starting on Sunday. Not a certainty to get allocated playoff tickets as only bought 3 separate 20 ticket flex packs, we both bought them to increase our chances and if we only get a one seat allocation each. Luckily we have been able to pick up some last minute stubhub bargains. The wife is a big fan which also helps. Though I feel for the fans that can't go for saving, with our success window likely closing we decided to double up on tickets this season and take next year off which will also help to boost the savings that have taken a hit this year.
  4. I'm not sure we can point to that incident as posters have mentioned above he threw as good as ever in that Yankee game. And even if it is still an issue, the loss of throwing power alone doesn't account for the bad routes and misreads usually when close to the wall that have been evident this season from Jose in RF.
  5. Machado's appeal set for Tuesday when they are playing the Padres
  6. Girodo had to wait for eddies poorly directed throw
  7. Is it usual for Osuna to be in the dugout rather than the bullpen if he is available?
  8. May upgrade my seats but need 4 tickets for that game so I can't help. Good Luck!
  9. And we are way ahead in terms of divisional games too. We have played 14, 10, 12 and 15 more than Baltimore, Boston, New York and Tampa respectively so they can get busy beating each other. We have played over half of our total divisional games already even though we have 97 games left.
  10. Except that's not true though is it - It was actually 3 times in the last 8 days, Sunday 29th, Tuesday 31st and Friday 3rd. Using him today makes 4 times in 9 days! Maybe your incorrect calculations led to your 'Don't pitch him tonight - rest him and save him for tomorrow' bizarreness on Friday.
  11. The forecast is pretty bad for tomorrow.
  12. I love to watch other teams' knuckleballers
  13. Given it was Ortiz, you have to consider the situation 1 out, men at 2nd & 3rd, 1st base open, the way Ortiz is killing it this year and with his lack of pace he doesn't beat out many double plays AS WE SAW!! To me it was a no brainer. A double play ends the inning! As I said I quite like Gibby but that was a shocker of a non decision.
  14. why even go out for a chat - Stroman shouldn't even be involved in the conversation Ortiz needed to be walked and bingo hanley double play. Gibbons whom I like needs to take ownership of ingame decisions and intentionally walk ortiz there. Cost us 2 runs by NOT making a decision. Or allowing Stroman's ego into the decision.
  15. Err they finished 9-3 after being swept by Tampa. 3-1@Twins, 2-1@Yankees, 2-1 v Red Sox and 2-0 so far against the Yankees
  16. Inclement weather and low night temperatures this spring has meant that the testing was really late taking place. In fact 1 or maybe 2 of the Dodger games would be the only ones where I believe the roof would have been opened so a couple of games at most have been affected by the late testing. I don't think this will become a thing, we had May night games with the roof open only last year. Friday's low overnight temp forecast is something like 18 deg, so temperature will not be a factor for any of the weekend series, though ill timed rain showers could be a different issue.
  17. Wow if only Marco could get those calls
  18. Does he not realise that this Travis is/will be replacing Goins on the 25 man roster. Playing time will sort itself out between Barney and Travis.
  19. So is Zaun saying that Goins should stay at second base.
  20. If the weather is forecast to be less than 50% chance of rain and well over 10deg Celsius at scheduled game finish time then the roof will be open. It was fully opened last week for testing. I am going to the weekend series and fully expect it to be open on Friday evening.
  21. I like this line up, as good as it gets before Travis returns. Hopefully we can stop jawing at all and sundry, that way, the direction can't be mistaken. It's time to let our play to do the talking until we have a record to boast about.
  22. That's a shame because it is far too simplistic, but it follows the narrative that if he has 4 or more walks in a start then he is wild. For example, he has the same number of 4 plus walk starts as Arrieta who many would rightly claim is one of the best in the game.
  23. Speaking of being a ridiculous homer, please tell us again that Manny didn't throw his bat at the A's 3rd baseman??????
  24. Exactly! If Bautista was gearing up to throw a punch, you'd have to reasonably think he might have at least been expecting one in return which he patently never did!
