Holy Christ - you put $32K down on FanDuels last year? all to make $1,500? I get that bond's don't give you much return on your dollar and the stock market is risky, but that's a f*ton of effort to make a measly $1,500
What mess? Navarro is the backup catcher.
Are we expecting AA to re-create the scene from Moneyball here he trades Pena for anything he can get b/c the manager is too dumn to use his players correctly?
Who's rule of thumb is this? And when will we ever see a ML Manager break "tradition" and actually do this?
I've always been a huge proponent of getting your best hitters more at bats (seems simple enough) - yet ML managers still don't even try and do that... I never understood sticking some light hitting guys who handles the bat well 2nd (P.Polanco).
Doubront's xFIP in 2013/2014 was about the same as Dickey and Buehrle the past couple of years. He's pitched in the AL East, but has lost some velo the past couple of years.
Decent depth guy.
Romero's just there to help offset the huge contracts we're taking on. I'm probably shooting a little high by indicating the Phils eat the majority of Pap's contract......but if they don't eat a ton of his Contract, you could argue he's got negative trade value too.
I think Sanchez/Castro for Hamels is in the ball park if we take Paps and his Contract off their hands.....now if only we could afford to do that).
Martin should be near the bottom of the lineup. The .400 OBP last year is a mirage.

Get your best hitters as many at bats as you can.
