  1. beat me to it. This is awesome.
  2. What's Friedman done that I should be raving about again? Traded Kemp for Grandel, traded for Alex Wood, signed Anderson, McCarthy and Howie Kendrick. Did I miss something interesting?
  3. That's pretty close to saying "we want to have the best pitching/defense and the best offense in baseball" Like thanks Captain Obvious....everyone wants that.
  4. But really - when doesn't Blair piss everyone off? He's the worst.
  5. Is it too much to ask for someone who uses BOTH saber and traditional scouting to make educated decisions?
  6. Evidently, I need to work on my material...
  7. I'm going to remain positive because I generally agree that he did as much as he could with what he had. They have a good young team there. Kipnis, Brantley, Lindor, Santana, Salazar, Kluber, Carrasco....there's a lot to like there. If Swisher and Bourn didn't completely bomb out of nowhere - this team would have been a central division contender.
  8. I think I don't know enough facts to generate an intelligent opinion about how Rogers conducted themselves...I would hope that view is shared by most.
  9. Um - it was a joke based on the movie clip. I've seen the movie.
  10. Agreed - some of you are so critical. I found the movie to be entertaining and a good way to open up the minds of the average baseball fan.
  11. Dave Stewart possibly.
  12. I like how Mark trusts his support staff - especially the chubby analytical guy...
  13. Seriously? c'mon man.
  14. I agree. AA found the loop hole in the old CBA and exploited it. He was also one of the first to grab a bunch of 4 year guys at low dollars to make space....it seems some are copying that already - but really at the end of the day it's too early to know if that's successful.
  15. Yeah I didn't get that comment - unless he's saying AA has no clue about baseball and the Jays are better off without him...
  16. It's irresponsible to not acknowledge the mess he inherited from Riccardi man. C'mon. You're better than that.
  17. Yep and the young arms you wanted to keep may have turned into Isringhausen, Pulsipher and Paul Wilson. You can sit there and play the "what if" game all you want man. Best of luck with that.
  18. I guess you could call both options. They could stay on and be Shapiro's little bitches. Chance they both leave too. Nish is my boy so I am rooting for him.
  19. That was my point. Jays started this season with the 10th highest payroll in MLB, in 2008 Riccardi started with the 13th highest...just a couple mill out of 10th...
  20. seriously man? The Donaldson trade alone counterbalances all 3 of those players. Then add Tulo, Price, Travis, Stro, traded Wells, Osuna, Sanchez, Pompey, Martin...
  21. Shapiro wasn't the GM in Cleveland man. He hasn't been the GM since 2010.
  22. Pretty tough to make those assumptions. Shapiro offers him a 1 year deal for $200 and all the gyro's he can eat and cuts half his responsibilities and you'd suggest this isn't Shapiro's fault? Lets get some facts first. It's like you've already forgotten about JP Riccardi man.
  23. Shapiro hasn't even started the job yet and he's already the most hated man in Toronto. He's going to need half price prostitute days at the dome this summer to regain the fans support!
  24. That's why I say one or the other. I think Sanchez is remarkably more valuable as a reliever (although he wants to start) and Osuna is way more valuable as a starter (although he said he likes the bullpen). That said - we know Sanchez will be stretched out.
  25. For 2016 it derails it. Theoretically, it doesn't derail it afterwards (once his innings are ramped up).
