    At the time of the deal it sure looked like we could use another starter.

    I would keep Biagini and Osuna in the pen at this point. Osuna needs to be stretched out for 2 years and Biagini was always just mediocre in the rotation but his stuff plays up in the pen. I see nothing wrong with having a couple of good young arms at the back of the pen to anchor the incoming influx of relievers, especially since we already have 5 starters for next year if we count Liriano.

    Marco when he is on is probably the most enjoyable game to watch for me. Its so easy, precise and efficient.

    Just the fact that they will admit and correct their mistakes is big. It also goes to show the genius in their risks too that they are short term enough to get out from under them in the first place.

    I can't see it being a problem. It hit the panhandle and just outer rain bands hit Tampa. It would be like Sudbury getting a massive 40cm snow storm while Toronto gets a dusting.

    Also, Travis, Sanchez, Stroman, Osuna and Pillar are all making ~$2.5 million this year and next. It won't stay that way for long...

    Or to be devils advocate here. Maybe he sees a chance to upgrade. If you already have Lawrie and you can get Donaldson, it doesn't mean you hate Lawrie.

    What do you think Reddick would cost? I have floated the idea of $22 per year for 5 years.

    He has more or less made that option pick up guaranteed at this point hasn't he?

    Its not even the money for me, its the term. If we could somehow get them to eat salary in a way that front loads the bulk of his money it would look attractive. But then I doubt you can get them to eat the $50-70 million it would take to make it look better.

    Who cares how we get them s long as they are good when they are here. With that said, this Front office seems to be actively trying to remedy this.

    I would. He doesn't have time to waste in a "prove it" season and he needs to cash in on a 4 year deal that gets him less annual salary then the QO value if its out there (I think he will get 4 years ~$60-70)

    The fact that he has 4 more years of club control at even less salary then Miller or Chapman have to add to his value too?

    With the prices that are being paid for top relievers, you could probably get back 2 Osuna's to put in the pen right away. (Although you would want them starting)
