AA doesn't want to trade too many farm assets for MLB-ready players. I get it, especially after the Miami and Mets trades. This last season, for deadline purposes, AA said the only trades available were ones that created holes on the current roster. I get it, don't make those trades.
But here is a guy who, I presume, will be declared a FA and not need to be drafted. Nor will he cost players of any type. Just money. AA and f***ing Beeston have maintained that when the opportunity is available, money will be available. Well, in my mind, here's that opportunity. If AA doesn't win this bidding war, then I am officially convinced the Jays admin has been lying and is not really trying to win. Heady stuff.
