  1. ^ maybe they have a higher budget than you are aware of
  2. I wouldn't say that just yet
  3. Yeah thank God Redsox are getting even better They will win the AL east quite easily now
  4. Well lets see if they are able to bring back Lester
  5. RedSox are quickly becoming way better than the Jays again
  6. I think Redsox are trying to capture the same Ortiz/ManRam magic with these guys.
  7. Good deal for the Sox in my opinion even if Hanley plays lf.
  8. I agree with the sentiment, I really hope Pando stays to the NL
  9. That is actually incorrect, and science has maintained the position that biological and chemical reactions in our brain do not necessarily reflect subjective mindset. Overwhelmingly so that the same reactions can be created and transferred from one being to another yet not produce the same. Until such time that Science can explain the exact relationship between subjective mental states and brain states, the nature of the relationship between the conscious mind and the electro-chemical interactions in the body, it cannot claim that we are a product of evolution. The explanation must be exact and the evidence must not be circumstantial. ``Selection for physical reproductive fitness may have resulted in the appearance of organisms that are in fact conscious, and that have the observable variety of different specific kinds of consciousness but there is no physical explanation of why this is so-nor any other kind of explanation that we know of. To make facts of this kind intelligible, a postmaterialist theory would have to offer a unified explanation of how the physical and the mental characteristics of organisms developed together, and it would have to do so not just by adding a clause to the effect that the mental comes along with the physical as a bonus. Explanation, unlike causation, is not just of an event, but of an event under a description. An explanation must show why it was likely that an event of that type occured.`` ``The problem is that evolutionary theory is not necessarily a complete and deterministic equation. Saying that some feature of an organism has appeared due to biological evolution is one thing, saying that it was certain or highly probable to appear is another thing. ``` http://blog.brainfacts.org/2013/03/can-science-explain-consciousness/#.VHEdOYvF_7E The above is the best article I have read on consciousness and evolution in my life. Its one thing to say that evolution is a process is a fact, however please do not apply it where ever you want and whatever you want to be. Problem is that you guys make evolution itself a religion and defend it no different then the Muslims defend their Allah. Until such time that Science can fully explain consciousness and create it themselves, it should not claim to understand human beings as a product of evolution. Most scientist don`t. They reserve their opinions until more facts come out, and don`t say things like we are a product of chemicals in our brain......
  10. reference. I meant we as sentient beings not we as in our physical self. I am okay with you saying I am wrong, but I would like it if you actually referenced so that I can see the source myself. Unless of course your source is your own opinion.
  11. Things are so slow right now, I guess Jays fans don't have a right to complain we have the biggest transaction of the offseason thus far, still feel like things are so slow. We usually see so much activity by late November I expect the following Navarro traded for a reliever Melky signing back with Jays for 3/42 another reliever signed. Possible infield acquisition
  12. I'd be willing to look at Swisher if the Indians ate up half of his contract. He has put up some big numbers before, with high on base percentages. But the Indians need to eat up at least half of the $30M, and we would trade a very low end asset in return.
  13. Redsox have a 5 year offer 95 million for Sandavol.
  14. Misleading title tbh
  15. Evolution is not a fact its a theory in this context Evolution in the context of species mutating and evolving is a fact. Evolution the theory that we are a product of evolution is a theory I understand your intention but its important to get some things right
  16. Did people here actually watch Sanchez pitch last year,
  17. Combined those guys are projecting to be twice as valuable as Dickey, Burly, and Reyes
  18. People want to trade Sanchez for Bruce who was downright awful last year, when a little more money can be used to bring Melky back. Bruce will cost $25.5M over the next 2 years, That would be a downright awful trade for a guy who had a .281 OBP last year.
  19. Shaky starter? How about you let him actually start a game first. Also he was closing games last year not 8th inning guy
  20. Rays are quickly moving towards becoming a bottom of the barrel team again.
  21. This actually looks terrible on the Rays. The talented GM and the Manager are gone. Rays will bottom of the barrell now,
  22. Nah picking him up is the kind of move good franchises like the St.Louis Cardinals make
  23. I expect a lot of trading before that, quite a few holes left. Pillar will not be this team's starting LF
