  1. Why would you sample size Halladay, and not compare it to his mid 2000s when his K rate was around 6. When he went to the National League he had 3-4 pitchers at bat, that alone would spike the K Rate up, facing pitchers vs. DH NL K rates are incomparable to AL k rates for that reason alone.
  2. People forget how good Roy Halladay was. People have short memory. Roy Halladay, over a span of 5 years averaged 6 WAR in the toughest division in baseball, and arguably the toughest hitting division in the history of baseball. That was when Redsox and Yankees had those monster lineups, As good as Kershaw has been over 5 years, Hallday was just as good and he wasn't pitching to the Padres and the Daimondhacks. Those were Yankees and Redsox lineups that had 5-6 superstars, and the amount of hittting talent was greatly skewed into the AL East.
  3. Valiant Dickey is pitching tomorrow, you might want to call in sick.
  4. I think the problem is Stroman's own brand of philosophy. I dont think Pete Walker or anyone else is encouraging him. I remember people were fapping to this article when it first came out, http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/marcus-stroman-discovered-roy-halladays-sinker/ "Stroman started to use the sinker more often in his July 19 start against Texas, after finding a grip he was comfortable while fiddling around with a baseball at home." “I have a sinker now, and it’s good,” Stroman said, proudly. “It’s a good pitch, and I get excited when I throw it. I get excited on the mound. It’s a pitch I started throwing like a month ago, and I’m already using it in games and having success with it.” Marcus Stroman didn’t simply add a new pitch: he added, to his already broad repertoire, a pitch that compares well to a primary pitch thrown by a possible or probable Hall-of-Famer. And Stroman must’ve known immediately that he’d added something good.
  5. It feels so good to have a great closer come in and shut the door. Nothing like it.
  6. Plus you gotta also look at how successful the Indians have been with all their strikeout pitchers. People need to look at Shapiro's trophy case to see what real success is, 15 years of control over Cleveland with his brand of philosophies, he must have dozens of notable accomplishments.
  7. Yeah Garbage stuff, remember that one guy who pitched here a while back. What a garbage pitcher he was, just got lucky with babip. Roy something. Its all that flukey f***s fault. I used to be so disgusted with him and his ground ball contact stuff. We need more Strikeout pitchers like Brandon Morrow and Dustin Mcgowan. They is good
  8. They are already calling Trumbo an MVP candidate.
  9. Some really questionable umpiring calls today
  10. Only thing I can think of is that the umpire whispered time, and Gibby blew him a kiss.
  11. I'm so confused. So the pitcher can stop his motion as many times as he wants.
  12. Buck is a f***ing moron for suggesting Cecil pitched around Reimold. Seriously, three of those pitches were strikes.
  13. CF Calls and others should back off, independent of where the ball is.
  14. Bautista thank you for respecting Pillar,
  15. Very suspicious stuff. Like that is a frickin strike for Gods Sakes.
  16. How is that 2-0 pitch a ball. wow just wow. Garbage ump. \ 2 straight pitches in the zone called balls. f*** OFF.
  17. No Osuna tonight? That will make it tough. I wouldn't send out Storen, rather go with Cecil/Floyd
  18. Smoak is walking a lot, improved pitch selection?
  19. Just looked at Stroman's k rate........wow. :(
  20. A lot, he has come a long way. My favorite part of his last start was when he struck out Hanley, after walking Ortiz.
  21. Dickey has been a bit unlucky to start the year this year. A few too many passed balls, and bloopers against him.
  22. Fun fact Jose Bautista 2016 WAR 1.0 Josh Donaldson 0.8
