  1. If only the 1st baseman could do what 1st baseman’s typically do: hit for power.Alas ours has trouble getting the ball of the ground.
  2. There’s some truth in this. I also can’t remember a player as hyped as Fatty G fail so badly. It makes the franchise look awfully bad. Truth is there is nothing less entertaining to watch than a team that can’t score runs.
  3. No way, this team is way below WC capacity. We’re looking at a 95 loss team here with all of Vlad, Bo, Kirk Biggio being below replacement level.
  4. Can someone guess when Fatso 1st baseman will hit another HR ? His launch angle issues are getting worse not better. He must be super untalented considering all the “work” put in.
  5. The success of this team was predicated on Fatso and Bo being great players, if not superstars. Instead, they’re epic busts.
  6. I agree and see this team losing 90+ games. They could go 2-11 against Baltimore.
  7. In Vlad’s case, I can’t wait until he’s off the team.
  8. Couldn’t the Jays try the waiver approach in April with Vlad ? If a club grabs him, they also need to pay the remainder of the inflated salary. Plus we get to see what Horowitz can do. Start fresh with new players.
  9. It’s how far Fatso has fallen that surprises even an extreme pessimist like myself. This one in a generation prospect can hardly even make loud outs or get the ball in the air. Making the ASG would be vomit inducing. Like here’s an all star 1st baseman with a sub 700 OPS ?
  10. Or batting in MILB even better
  11. Could a stint in triple aaa help this epic fat bust relearn how to hit mistake pitches ? He’s not helping the big league club and blocking Horwitz.
  12. Fatty G is like the weakest hitter on the team and he plays 1st base. Like triple yuck.
  13. Time to part ways with Fatty G, he’s basically a below replacement level bat playing 1st base and costing 20 M, an epic disaster. Horowitz couldn’t possibly be worse at a fraction of the cost.
  14. The concerning truth with Fatty G is that he is unable to hit mistake pitches, centre cut fastballs at 90mph, the kind that good hitters destroy. Why does this team tolerate this, it just doesn’t make sense.
  15. Good point. But if you replaced Fatty G with Horwitz things might get better.
  16. Disagree. A better choice has Fatty G on the bench and Horwitz starting.
  17. Who cares. This is supposed to be a team game. He can tantrum on another team. Being the greatest bust of all time on my Jays has ruined the baseball watching experience. He needs to go ASAP or be hidden down in the lineup where he belongs or sit on the bench.
  18. Cut bait ASAP. Fatty G is still respected around the league, he won the derby and came in runner up another year. He just hasn’t mastered MLB level pitching. Some dumb team might think there’s hidden talent and pay a haul. He’s also being paid too much for the return.
  19. Praying for a Fatty G injury so that Horwitz can take over first base.
  20. Horwitz would have doubled in 2 runs.
  21. Why is Fatty G starting over Horwitz ?
  22. This s*** team finishes under 0.500 and Fatty G will still ask for $300 million over 10 years.
  23. He’s adapted to mlb pitching much faster than Fatty G (when he came up).
  24. On another level for years to come too. One way to improve is to remove Fatso from the lineup and call up Horwitz. Maybe we can trade Fatso to the Angels. Their GM is dumber than ours.
  25. No but 3-10 is shameful. Fatty G will still ask for 10 y and 400 M, which is even more shameful.
