    Last time I saw him in the minors, he was sitting 95-96 and T97 with a decent curveball. Has slider and change too.

    That’s actually my biggest issue with Montoyo. Not the bunts, lineups, or BP decisions. He’s soft as cashmere. I haven’t seen him fight or argue about any s***** ump calls. He’ll just nod and go back to the dugout with his head down, like wtf man.

    Yeah it depends on the ump, but sometimes too much framing can have negative results.

    Pretty much agree with Jonn. Though I would like to see Borucki do 2 or 3 IP relief sessions. If his velo and stuff continues to play, no reason he can’t be a piggy back guy while waiting for a rotation spot to open.

    Red Sox right now are 26th in batting WAR and and 29th in pitching WAR. If we don't get some W's from them, just give up the season. Marlins and O's should be mostly W's for any team serious about postseason baseball. Phillies have a good offense and league average pitching, 9-9 record right now. Yankees will be tough, but getting to the 30 W mark and postseason by stepping on the other teams is very possible.
