  4. Hatch Buckets era begins
  5. Fangraphs AL playoff seeding and odds (Aug 22): 1. 19-9 Athletics - 99.7% 2. 18-10 Twins - 99.1% 3. 18-10 Rays - 99.1% 4. 16-9 Yankees - 99.1% 5. 17-10 Indians - 97.9% 6. 17-11 White Sox - 96.8% 7. 15-12 Astros - 95.5% 8. 13-12 Blue Jays - 56.7% 9. 13-14 Orioles - 12.4% 10. 11-16 Royals - 11.7% 11. 10-15 Tigers - 5.2% 12. 10-16 Rangers - 7.5% 13. 10-19 Mariners - 1.1% 14. 9-19 Angels - 9.6% 15. 9-19 Red Sox - 8.4%
  6. The high performance department has dictated lineups, rest days, and BP management. Montoyo’s been overruled and have his hands tied, why is he even there?
  7. It should not be that hard to upgrade over Panik, Drury, & Alford tier. There are teams out there willing to GIVE players away just to shed salary for crying out loud. Marlins signed a bunch of scrubs from the free agent site and they have more productive at-bats than some of our bench warmers. It’s embarrassing at this point. Can’t even lay down a bunt, a sac fly or take a walk. An 80 wRC+ bat would be a major upgrade.
  8. We need a legit bat, Grichuk and Teoscar as your 2nd and 3rd best hitters isn’t enough for a lineup looking at playoffs. Go get a difference maker that can drive in runs with RISP. Panik should never play again, he can’t even lay down a bunt. Kirk is also a massive upgrade over McG offensively, guy can’t even hit his own weight. He has a .107 OBP and -23 wRC+. He can’t even sac fly a runner from third base. You can live with one black hole in the lineup, we have way too many. Biggio is on an island out there without Bichette. Even with Bichette back, a bonafide bat in the lineup shifts everyone down a peg. They either have to add or promote from the farm. Screw service time manipulation. Whoever you call up now you get 7 years of control. We don’t need to own everyone until they’re 35 and ready to retire. If you want that much to keep your players 8 years from now then pay them! This isn’t a cheap budget org like the A’s or Cleveland.
  9. Montoyo: We are warming up Bass for the 10th inning, in a live game.
  10. Failed bunt, but professional GDP.
  11. Professional bunt stance
  12. Eventually, he should be given a chance to start like Pearson imo. Maybe next season.
  13. Font did his job. Merryweather will finish it.
  14. Panik moved in the opposite direction
  15. It’s time for Captain Kirk.
  16. Alright Ryu, we just need a complete game shutout. No pressure.
