They've had on and off days, but at times they have been terrible. I'd argue they're still in good shape because of the glorious May/early-June they had, in which they banked a lot of victories. Not really because they've held tight since. They've had flashes of quality, but have mostly been reeling. I think in August they'll be right back in it, though, as I think a healthy Jays team is quite scary.

Are the Jays scheduled to have more games, or is it just a result of playing in a dome about 90 times a year, preventing postponed games? That said, I'm so glad the brutal west coast swing is over. It came at a really inopportune time

How does one focus on catching one team but not the other? Do you stop playing to win at some point? This seems like "pitching to the score".

Fair enough, I read your post as saying Dustin was one of the good ones and should have been allowed to get out of it.

You can't stick with a reliable guy if he's clearly struggling though. If another guy screws it up, so be it, but I don't think a guy should be left in if he's giving it away, regardless of past reliability.
