I'm not opposed to this. Surely Cecil throws side sessions, and if he's also off there then management should more fluid with the pecking order in games until he rights himself. The great thing about Cecil is that I'm fine putting him up against pretty much anybody, lefty or no (the lack of other lefty options complicates things, admittedly). But if he's tossing s*** at the moment, shuffle the deck. Chavez and Floyd have both been pretty good. The depth is there.
Didn't Cecil lose his closer gig after a single series last year? Amazing how Gibby is willing to make some moves (Cecil was pre-mature, IMO, but ultimately for the best) but doesn't budge at all on others. Donaldson hitting second was the best move he ever made when Martin wasn't getting it done.
I also recall Cecil being s*** last April. Not that the losses that result from his poor outings don't suck, just that there's more reason for optimism than hysterical panic.
