    When a team averages at least 1 hit per inning it gives them a pretty clear advantage by putting runners on for them. I don't understand it.

    Pretty sure this is my favourite name ever. I imagine Tim Langton is really hoping he makes it one day and already practicing his Ryaan McBOOOOOOM voice for the stadium.

    They seem committed to Smoak so I wouldn't look much in to it. Probably to give him as many reps as they can against some MLB pitching before having to send him down. Have fun man!

    I just would prefer a rule change surrounding September and the reliever abuse in regards to game time. Warming up 3 pitchers for 3 batters with 3 commercial breaks just because you suddenly have a surplus of arms is ridiculous. Yankees abused that all last September, pretty sure the year before as well and it's annoying as hell. It's a minuscule advantage that is not often overplayed until September but slows a game down tenfold.

    Also, the auto walk is garbage. How about you can't burn 3 relievers for 3 batters unless an injury. That should speed up like every Yankee September game.

    Is Tulo & Pearce in camp yet?

    The more he can get to the pitch the less he's inclined to lay off the pitch. He hit that ball out of the park where no one else did all year. Since he's done that once, in his mind he can do that every time and that's his biggest problem. His aggressive at bats is what makes him put balls in play but after doing it that way for 6 or 7 years as a pro and probably his entire life I don't think your going to teach an old dog new tricks. He's 28 and not suddenly going to change his approach. It's like the way I play every baseball video game my whole life, every f***ing pitch I hit X because God damn it I'm going to crush the next one.

    I don't think he'll be here all season to get 300 PA tbh. Unless he's outproducing Upton/Zeke/Pompey to force Pearce in the OF, I don't think he'll be around long enough to get 300PA. I imagine Smoke's role will be largely based on Pearce's health but they won't say it.
