  1. ... except that's on par with his minor league OBP that you referred to.
  2. Except those OBP %'s are working out just fine. Will there be some regression? Maybe, but maybe he's actually changed his approach. Dialing back to his last 2 years on a young player is not a great indicator. In 2012 + 2013 he had a combined 313 AB and only 22 total walks. He's had only 94 AB in 2014 and has already walked 15 times. He's seeing the ball better and getting on base more because of it.
  3. Right... but I'm just saying just because you can hit in the minors doen't mean you're going to have success in the majors and your numbers certainly don't always go with you. Gose's minor league OBP is almost right on par (little less actually) than his small sample size major league level OBP for this year. The Blue Jays' team average OBP is .330, Gose has been playing above that level both in the minors & majors all year and I think everyone should be happy with that. Pillar's 2014 MLB OBP is .220 and .242 for his short up and down career.
  4. Put me in coach, been tearin' up the minors. http://www.citynews.ca/files/2011/08/c433a03d4c9ab8fa9cdde6c0c00c.jpg
  5. Minor's means nothing compared to what they've done recently and at the major league level. Pillar has done nothing at this level and with that analogy Hendricks should be up here FT.
  6. Exactly... in fact Kevin Pillar's 2014 OBP is lower than his .225 batting average (figure that one out) while Gose's OBP is currently well above league average, not to mention Gose on base late in games is ya know, kind of a good thing.
  7. Navarro bunt lol.... I would love to see that hustle.
  8. Just saying, Lind's numbers against lefties are probably better than anything Tolleson can do of late. Glen was brought up to back up for Bautista's spot in case of an outfield injury, I wouldn't like his chances in the most important at bat of the game.
  9. Who do you use? Glen or Tolleson aren't solid Lind replacements... Tolleson is batting .059 in his last 10 games.
  10. Since I don't really have a team to cheer for I foolishly made a formula to choose an NL team for me. According to my calculations I'm going to be a Nationals Fan. Go Nats Go How it works: I decided to break it up in to 3 categories, performance points, logo points & likability points. Performance Points - I grabbed the run differential from 2011-2014 for each team - Gave a 50 pt bonus for every time they made the playoffs since 2010 (since there is no 2014 yet, I went back 1 year). (Quick note, I find it very odd that the Giants have only a +37 Run Differential over the last 4 years. I then grabbed the avg performance points which was about 68 and used that as a rough middle number for ranking #7th team for best logo & likeability. Best Logo - This is my own personal preference, after all I have to be comfortable wearing their hat... Likability - By far the most debatable and the most difficult to gauge. I might change this yet but for the time being I used ESPNs likability rankings which seem plausible considering they don't have the Yankees as #1 lol. : http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/teamrankings/_/sport/mlb/category/pla#table Then whoola http://www.imagesup.net/di-1514037124523.png
  11. I disagree, I think when the Dominican's start pumping each other up good things happen with this team.
  12. Watching Reyes and Jeter play like this in the same game makes my head hurt.
  13. Who would they go after Jannsen? Redmond seems to be Gibby's choice to eat up extra innings but always seems risky.
