  1. Pompey singles to right. 2 for 2, HR 1B
  2. Bautista homers to left center 2-1. EE flys out to left and Buck has a heart attack with the thought of back to back homers.
  3. Is it worth it to have a veteran pitcher in a rotation for young kids to look up to, like the way everyone leans on Buehrle for advice? Next year the idea that Hutch @ 25 is the veteran of the rotation, seems so young from what we're use to. Don't get me wrong I highly enjoy the thought of what the future holds just curious if there is anything to that?
  4. and then to drop Tolleson when Saunders returns for Pillar. tyvm. Case closed.
  5. If Martin struggles with Dickey it's nice to have that option on Thole. It's also valuable so that Navarro can still be traded and Thole utilized as Dickey's prime catcher to give Martin 4 out of 5 starts in that event.
  6. That's Thole's? So he's optionable correct? Well that's a major score.
  7. Next paragraph In general, the data from these two sources is very consistent, though not exactly the same. For Zone%, FanGraphs' PITCHf/x data records about 3-4% more pitches in the strike zone, a difference that holds up over time and for most players. But not Sanchez. His PITCH f/x Zone% was 51.6%, almost 10% higher than BIS reported. With a 2014 the league average for reliever Zone% of 48.5%, Sanchez ranked 51st of 209, or at the 75th percentile. This would indicate he was indeed filling up the strike zone. Keep reaching.
  8. I thought it was 5 years for some reason.
  9. At this point I have major doubts Navarro is traded in April, those trades just don't happen often so I wouldn't count on it and I don't think there has been any major catcher injuries this ST from starters yet. Like you mentioned, if Martin is catching Dickey fine so far (it seems that way anyway) then I think they will drop Thole and let Dickey just weep in the corner. Thole apparently has an option to be sent down but I think his veteran status blocks it. I don't know if anyone knows?
  10. I don't know, I think I'd prefer Goins & Pillar on the bench and Tolleson dropped at that point. Still a 5 man bench then regardless.
  11. If they are keeping Thole and when Saunders returns what would the bench change to give space for Pillar? Saunders returns: Reyes Martin Bautista EE Donaldson Pompey Smoak Travis Saunders Bench: Valencia, Thole, Navarro, Tolleson, Pillar That leaves only a 6 man BP. Would they option Pillar or force a catcher out at that point?
  12. + Navarro. Are you also assuming Tolleson will be the OF back up?
  13. Part of me thinks the Jays still don't have an idea what their bench is going to look like yet on opening day.
  14. Game Day Supervisor Tryouts.
  15. So I'm guessing that didn't happen. http://i.imgur.com/Q2ZrDQt.png
  16. Sanchez pitches in to the 6th gives up 2 hits, 1 walk and no one is ever f***ing happy here.
  17. How many whiffs does Buerhle get? Heck how many hits does he give up? Heck how many strikeouts does he get? It's concerning. Phillies have no hits through 3, keep dissecting people you'll find something soon.
  18. I always prefer opposing team commentary, I like to hear what outsiders think about the Jays.
