We've gotten Russel Martin / Josh-f***ing-Donaldson / Devon Travis / Troy Tulo-f***ing-witzki in less than a year, all for the next 3-5 years. Please add an ace to this list and I will forget 2012 ever happened.

They won't trade him... just like they couldn't trade Tulo after this season from the 10/5 rule. They basically cut their guarantees in half and in 2.5 years will have money and likely 2 young pitchers who are contributing at the MLB level. It's not a bad move by Rockies. Not to mention they aren't going to be competitive for the next couple years anyway.

At least I don't have to hear Pat Tabler say Reyes has been the spark of this line up 4x per game.

Stop being scared of this deal, we just upgraded our team and its still 4 days before trade deadline. We just got a two time Gold Glover at a position that has been a defensive liability since Reyes has been here. Tulo gets on base even more than Reyes ever has for us. This is a pretty big sign that more is to come, so prepare yourself if saying bye to Hoffman and Castro scares you.

He hasn't played a game here, he would certainly be open to a large number of teams to decide where be wants to play. I don't think they'd move him now anyway, the drop off in value of Tulo to Goins is damn high unless we get a controllable ace back.

Yea and Tulo is in his 10th year so I think after this season they'd be locked with that big contract.

Whenever there is a ground ball to a shortstop's right side, if the 3b can get to it, it should always be his ball going towards first with the momentum. I'm surprised Reyes even wants a ball hit to him to be honest.
