  1. Bus ticket back to Buffalo. NEXT please.
  2. Too bad it's pretty much tie goes to the ump.
  3. Nice play, I don't think they'll overturn it
  4. Phillies scared of Pillar, keep having coaching meetings for him here.
  5. Martin standing hoping he gets a chance to pinch hit.
  6. Storen, Grilli, Osuna looking good. Not Yankees good, but a lot better than whatever the f*** we had going on in April and May.
  7. Would rather Floyd here, but I guess who cares.
  8. I dunno... his HR/FB is off the charts for the past 2 years.
  9. Oh c'mon he just threw his bat at it. It was a good pitch.
  10. Bullpen arms are just so unpredictable.
  11. ? A taxed BP arm can be as little as 2 innings of work or back to back games, but whatever I'm over it.
  12. Stop talking about the season as a whole with regards to innings pitched on the BP. The BP is lucky it hasn't had to be used as much as others, yes. In fact without our starters we'd be in the basement in the standings but it doesn't mean you don't make moves to keep fresh arms at the back end of your bullpen... that's common sense for all ball clubs. When we say it's gassed, it means a move has to be made to provide added depth. That's all.
  13. Yea it's a good question but I think his advantage is not being a loogy or a roogy, I don't think he's good enough to be either. However, if a team has L/R/L order to negate specialists (like a John Farrel line up) I think he's a good option to have available.
  14. I think their rotation can't hold up, they need to find a diamond in the rough to help them. Their bp has been very good, though they are missing O'day right now.
  15. Let's just hope we're up 16-0 against the Phillies and Gibbons can pitch instead. Or Thole.
  16. I said partially their fault. Stro and Sanchez went 5 innings this series, Estrada 6. That taxes the BP abit... Heck Happ barely survived the 4th inning, after something like homer/double/homer/double. Had he not, they'd be in a heap of trouble. What exactly are you defending here? That our BP is not gassed and they are just being overly protected?
  17. What does what our BP did 3 & 4 series ago have anything to do with what they did the last 4 games? Baltimore is taxed too, yes.
  18. Who cares if it's underused, overused or misused, the point is our trusted arms are not available and we need support. It's part Gibby and part our SP that has caused it right now but swapping scrubs is not a big deal dude, it's done with every team every month.
  19. Seriously the rest of this month looks great ahead.
  20. We can go a week with using 3 pen guys and then a week using every arm 3x over. We're inconsistent. Our SP goes deep overall but it's a week to week thing and right now our most trusted arms are gassed. We only have a few of those to choose from my friend.
  21. No because it's a bs article. The 'sources' (after 4 clicks of them) eventually lead to just an article from the Boston Globe that the Cubs are one of the team's that may be interested in him if the Jays are out of contention and make him available. "Look for teams such as the Giants, Cardinals, and Cubs to have interest, especially in Bautista, who is still a good outfielder and can play first base and third if need be." Someone took that as their source, wrote a new article as fact which your link used that as the source. Thus you have a stupid article with no real source. Internet.
  22. That's not really fair though. Biagini has hit a brick wall, Chavez has thrown a lot of pitches as our inning eater, Osuna is 21yr old overused closer who's clearly gassed. Venditte is s*** and Loup is good for an out. Grilli & Storen are really our late inning guys right now and when, or if our next starting pitcher can't go 6 we're in trouble, unless you trust Floyd. Assuming Morales is done and goes on the long term DL it opens a spot on the 40 man, then option Venditte.
