  1. He was really just misused I think during the down years. He was always a well above average hitter vs RHP but couldn't touch a lefty, 2009 perhaps being the exception rather than the breaking point.
  2. Tampa Bay Rays @ Toronto Blue Jays 7:07PM EDT Game 1 of 3 http://i.imgur.com/PqRGJ2x.jpg
  3. Pillar dives very aggressively, was only a matter of time really.
  4. I was afraid this would happen, he was in a lot of pain on that play.
  5. I'm not saying Rodriguez isn't an elite athlete and shouldn't be in the HOF... I'm really not even making an argument lol. I'm mostly just saying you can't compare the best players from the steroid era to others. There is no way to know how good they really were when not on roids unless you actually believe A-Rod stopped PEDs the day he got on a plane to NY.
  6. Quite possibly, it's because of guys like A-Rod that kids in High School are doing it today. We know he admitted doing it with the Rangers in 2001 when he was 25, what makes you believe he wasn't doing it before that? This is all during the height of the roid era before testing began. He wasn't going to come out and just say I've been doing it my entire pro career.
  7. Player A & Player B are of the same age, physique & equal skillset. As prospects they are both considered the best future players at their position. - Player A doesn't take steroids, he goes through a major slump in July/Aug as his body struggles to keep up with the grueling 6 month schedule. Still, he smashes 25HR and puts up a 125 wRC+, a great overall hitter. - Player B takes steroids, he rarely has the slump like others. His body is not tiring out, it's still strong as it was in May/June. He plugs his way through the season with a 170 wRC+, earns MVP votes, silver slugger & Hank Aaron award. I really don't know if it can have that large of an effect, but Player B ends up being a legend and signs record breaking contract. Player A probably is super excited to get All-Star votes. Player A drank lots of protein shakes.
  8. A few posts, then I waited till after the game to reply back.
  9. I think it's pretty obvious that Drew Storen was the glue of the clubhouse.
  10. Show me the facts that don't make it successful. Wasted police resources, often false alarms? I just read an article (I'm assuming THE article you referred to) that are suggesting the things you are saying but have no facts to back that up other than they need to study it more. The whole idea that it could make a situation more dangerous is ridiculous. However a police force is trained to deal with a situation is on them, finding where the f*** they are is priority #1. If the system saves or even finds 1 child per year out of 100 amber alerts that should be seen as a success. Wasted police resources, etc. is all ********. We pay for it, you damn well better put out a notice if one my kids go missing, it's the least amount of work to tell people to keep an eye out for X Y Z. Obligatory on topic line: Jays are sucking right now.
  11. The point is it can't hurt and you were saying it does.
  12. We're due for a blast.
  13. I hate that American sports teams call themselves World Champions. It's World Series Champions or MLB Champions. World Champions is reserved for country's in international competition.
  14. Do you have kids? If your physically disabled child has disappeared I'm pretty f***ing sure you'd want everyone to be on the lookout. I now know there is a kid who walks with a severe limp and might not be able to communicate who is either kidnapped or lost. I would immediately call police if I saw a child that matches that. Show me your source articles that amber alerts have caused bodily harm vs resulted in positive ends. If the police confronted a kidnapper that ended poorly, that's not the result of an Amber Alert...
  15. Pretty sure Thole's is using an Aluminum bat. He's exempt.
  16. C'mon Thole. Get a hold of one here.
  17. Blue Jays Baseball.
  18. Our inning will come.
  19. You always always run directly at someone caught between bases. Doesn't matter where you are on the infield if they aren't moving don't throw it.
  20. Great job Edwin
  21. Just throw 97 bro, Upton isn't going to catch up that s***.
