  1. Sometimes you just need some good luck to get you going.
  2. I still don't know the final score. I'm waiting until 11am to go to any sports site so it's as if it didn't happen .
  3. lol I just woke up and I'll leave it for entertainment.
  4. No it didn't start with the 6 man rotation garbage... I think it's a combination of things but realistically regression to the mean is probably the main factor that no one wants to admit but would be saying if they were on any other team... Did you honestly expect Happ to be a 2.96 ERA CY Young candidate all season? Estrada hasn't been the same since his DL stint. Pitching has carried this team that no one expected and it would be a mute point if the offense lived up to its potential.
  5. So you're telling me there's a chance?
  6. Bah he's had a pretty sucky second half with a couple good games mixed in. He has a -19 wRC+ this far in September. What is the exact sample size to pull to find not so sucky numbers recently?
  7. 81 wRC+ second half, 30% K rate with shotty defense. What am I missing?
  8. It's really disheartening when we battle all year and the wheels start falling off now. This is exactly how I expected Baltimore or Boston to fade, cold bats with s*** pitching to the mean.
  9. Saunders has sucked for weeks.
  10. Hehe, yea I get it. Though you have to look at him and highly suspect PEDs. I really doubt the KBO has a high level PED testing program. That league puts more emphasis on entertainment than anything. They do music and dance shows with the crowd while the games are being played lol.
  11. Kind of worth noting the stadium Thames' home team plays at is 381 ft to center field, 9' smaller than Fenway, 55' smaller than Minute Maid park lol.
  12. Do they roid test in Korea?
  13. He's 0/5 against him this year and last year everyone raked against Porcelain.
  14. He does have an AS next to his name on the season though which would help him, no?
  15. Shapiro: All our pending FA’s will likely go to market http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/shapiro-pending-fas-will-likely-go-market/
  16. Welp, I think it's time I take the next day and half off here. Be back tomorrow night, too much exhaustion thinking about Jays all week and I've always considered trying to be productive at work.
  17. Estrada also had a DL stint and has had a bad back and it's not quite the same as pitches thrown vs IP. I understand the difference you're trying to say regarding strain on the arm but if you get taken out in the 3rd inning after getting roughed up in a tough 50+pitches outing, that can be just as exhausting or more than a 100 pitches 7IP game of clean ball with regular rest.
  18. Some of that might have to do with fatigue. Estrada is already at his usual full season of workload (minus last year) and with a bad back I'm sure he's fighting through a lot. Happ's at 164IP, the most he's ever done is 172 last year. It's quite possible these guys are simply running out of steam late in the season, they are both 33 and don't come with 10 years of 175IP type seasons.
  19. You could totally tell he wanted to give it 150% and he was mad/frustrated as hell.
