Why does everyone assume Saunders bunt was a sac bunt? Because MLB Game Day said so? That was the fallback / worse case scenario.

If Saunders feels his best chance of getting on base right now is bunting against the shift because his confidence level is at a -10 f***in' do it.

If you can put the bunt down against the shift as a lefty, it's not the worst strategy with a runner on 2nd and none out. As long as it gets down at worst you move the runner over and maybe 50/50 get a hit.

Just tuned in but can't rewind. It sounded like they were saying he really wants to be playing today but he only has 5 of his 6 tools right now. Don't know what that means.

If Donaldson is done for the year (which is what it sounds like), this season is all but over. It's not a coincidence that when he stopped hitting the offense fell apart and we are where we are.
