  1. Is it just me or has that been a common occurance the last few games. Refs wait until it doesn't go in and then call the foul.
  2. Lol can't rebound when you are letting everyone score on you.
  3. Offence is clicking on all cylinders. Some of it is probably Detroit doing nothing but they are still executing really well.
  4. Not sure why Lowry is going over the screen against Jennings. Let him chuck outside shots...
  5. Lol SVG takes a TO after 3 possessions.
  6. Most likely shots but usually its SOG.
  7. Meh junk team on a Monday night. Also the price will be really low the close you get to the game I would imagine, no?
  8. I love Kyle Korver and think the contract is a steal but I just don't think its one of the very best in the league. He's a very good role player on a contending team, but the most valuable contracts are the stars on lower than max deals with 3 more years.
  9. Not gonna lie I had a good chuckle when I opened this thread.
  10. Even if Martin can catch Dickey, Navarro should not be his back up. 5 Million could be spent a lot better than on a guy who is only going to get 150 ABs. Navarro still sucks behind the plate and even if he only catches once a week I don't see his pitch framing improving much.
  11. I feel like Bosh's contract is awful too. He is turning 31 and has 4 more years left on the deal. In a couple years it could be a complete write off. At least with the Fields and the Bryant deals they are expiring by next season.
  12. I wouldn't put Korver in the top 10. I do think he will age better than others but with the cap going up the difference between the MLE and those other contracts really isn't much. Have to remember Korver wouldn't be as good on other teams because the coaching is worse. Its like the Pop rule where guys like Matt Bonner and Marco Belineli can be effective role players in his system but were journeyman before. Lol looking at Brooklyn's team and cap situation and they have to have the worst future of any team. Those contracts are terrible and they have no draft picks.
  13. Klay's was 4 years 70 million that kicks in next season. Jame Harden's another steal of a contract with 2 years and a Team option for close to 16 million per season. What would you guys say the 5 worst contracts in the NBA are?
  14. Im as big a Korver fan as anyone but he isn't nearly that good lol. He is turning 34 years old in a few months. Off the top of my head Steph Curry's contract is one of the very best and you can even include Klay Thompson when you consider where the cap is going and you have him for 4 more years. Ibaka's is really good too. Im probably missing a few more. Edit: Demarcus Cousins is another with 3 years and around 34 million and can't believe I forgot our very own Kyle Lowry at 12 million per season.
  15. I'm a huge fan of Korver. Bud is the perfect coach for him too as he is one the best offensive coaches and knows how to get Korver a lot of open 3 looks. Hawks are really the Spurs of the East.
  16. I mean they're no slouches but I would take Toronto, Washington, Chicago and Cleveland's rosters before theirs.
  17. They have such good coaching. I don't think their roster is anything that special but their coaches put their players in a position to succeed. Bud is a top 5 coach and maybe even better. Looks like all those years under Pop helped.
  18. Exactly. I don't know if that was the intention but they ended up being really smart plays that look bad on the boxscore but don't effect the win probability. His recievers had a couple drops and the refs missed 2 holding penalties on 3rd down that would of made his numbers look even better.
  19. Great game by the Colts!! Going into the game I really liked the matchup of the Colts Dbs vs the Broncos WRs and it seemed like that was the big difference in the game. Vontae Davis had an outstanding game. Luck was fantastic as well and those 2 ints were on 3rd and long so they worked out as 35-40 yard punts. Really hate the Patriots but we'll see what happens.
  20. Considering Francisco is an automatic out vs lefties and really has no position value he really doesn't have any value to a contending team. He will hit a HR here or there when a pitcher throws a mistake but the more info on him the easier it is for pitchers to exploit his weaknesses. Looking at his heatmap the guy swings at 40% of pitches in the dirt and has never looked like he will make the adjustment. http://www.fangraphs.com/zonegrid.aspx?playerid=6978&position=1B/3B&ss=2014&se=2014&type=2&hand=all&count=all&blur=1&grid=10&view=bat
  21. He also lost all of his power in the second half. I don't think you can always just look at the numbers for guys that don't have a track record. Teams consistently exploited his weaknesses once they got to see him. The player failed to make any adjustments once teams adjusted to the fact he could murder fastballs but couldn't hit a breaking ball to save his life.
  22. Rogers has to throw that ball away. Just lost 3 points and gave cowboys great field position.
  23. Officiating in this playoffs has been embarassing.
  24. I don't think the Rays would like it for the As to turn around and deal Zobrist to a division rival. Obviously he's under their control and they can do what they want but I think TB's front office would be pretty mad and less likely to do deals in the future. As for the Stroman article I was waiting for someone to write a piece like this. Just seemed to me by watching that the sinker was one of the best pitches. Stroman tweeted out the other day he is actually 5'8 despite being listed at 5'9. Crazy when you think about it, you don't even see position players that short Altuve being an exception.
  25. Hjalmarsson is available for late round pick.
