  1. "f*** that 21 year old worker over there is looking fine"
  2. Was talking about infrastructure.. If you took the Toronto population and put them there the city's traffic would still be better than Toronto. Add in all the traffic plus the morons who deliver food on bicycles while driving on sidewalks and going through red lights and you have a clusterf*** of a mess.
  3. Well he also struck out 19% last season compared to 13% the 2 years before so maybe he traded some contact for more power, but his 82 wRC+ is the same as it was in prior seasons so I wouldn't bet on those 4 months meaning anything for projecting his future. At 29 years old his defense is likely to decline if anything so he could even be a worse player, who knows. Cavan Biggio had a 126 wRC+ in the second half last season, do I think he's primed for a breakout? No.
  4. You can put a bunch of flowers around a circle and look at it in different ways but if there is a pile of s*** in the middle, at the end of the day it’s a pile of s***. IKF has been around the same high 80s low 90 wRC+ his entire career, a 4 month cherry picked sample isn’t making me believe any different.
  5. Yeah the infrastructure is among the worst of any major NA city and yet they keep building more and more condos and none of the roads are getting bigger.. The Public transit system is awful and they'll probably make it even worse adding more bike lanes or some s***. I was in Salt Lake city a month ago and they have 4 lanes in each direction downtown and there was never any traffic at all. I bet Shapiro is fuming with the city's politicians as this has a big effect on people driving into games.
  6. While he likely makes more in Japan now that NCAA has NIL he can make a lot of money in college as well...
  7. Should just a put a picture of the Gardiner Expressway closures on the jersey. 6 f***ing years they are closing down 2 lanes for.
  8. I think the Jays/Rogers won't be spending into the tax every year as well, they will probably do what the Dodgers did and have a "reset" for a season.
  9. Its funny because of all the players the Jays have the one that I would want to get rid of the most to free up salary is IKF lol especially considering the 2nd year. Rather have Biggo/Espinal at their price tags/1 year commitments than him.
  10. Without him they have a borderline ECHL defense lol.
  11. Well I was talking about league wide how if MLB made a signing period late Nov/early Dec that there would be an increase in revenue with Christmas sales. So in this case.. yeah I think it matters considering it would be 30 teams. I also think it would be smarter to release the schedule closer to the same time instead of doing it in August of the previous season (which I always found weird. The NBA and NFL really hit on driving ticket sales/fan engagement with their schedule release dates only being a few months before the season starts.
  12. I think your bang on. Leafs have been soft for a while, and I think there would be a bigger problem if no one did anything. Gary Roberts was another guy like that who could be a pest but actually had talent. And I'm not a leafs fan but live in Toronto so hear about the team a lot, and still go to a few games a year.
  13. Seems about right. Shapiro faring a little better than Atkins which the majority of fans are getting tired of. Lots of people think the pitching is good but the offence is weak and there isn't as much optimism heading into the season as the last couple of years.
  14. Its funny because I think Greig's play actually in a way adds energy to the game. Hockey now a days is missing a lot of the energy/fire it had in the 90s/2000s. Half the games now are complete snoozefests. I don't have a problem with Reilly going after him, he shouldn't have gotten the stick up which is why he is getting suspended but its not like Todd Bertuzzi or Mcsorely bad.
  15. Don't think they are going to Dufferin mall but they would be ordering them online... The ticket sales component is way more impactful than merch anyways especially for the earlier in the season games.
  16. I think one thing that went unnoticed yesterday is how great the KC coaching was, especially the defense. At the end of the 4th if SF got a first down they would have won the game pretty much and Spagnuolo brought pressure which forced an incompletion and FG. Mahomes was great but SF had lots of chances to win and screwed up.
  17. Anyone else think Taylor looks so much like John Taveras? I can’t unsee it now lol. What a putting performance. As for the tournament it think some of the delays on Friday made it worse. I went 2 days last year and it was pretty good for the most part but yeah you certainly have some wild drunks. Lots of young college students who can barely stand up by the end of the day. I’m honestly surprised you don’t get more people being stupid in general at golf tournaments given the gambling aspect. Like if someone has a ton of money on Taylor or Hoffman what’s to say they don’t yell in the other guys backswing in the playoff. All it takes is one person…
  18. Well for one it generates excitement and fan interest. Also since mlb offseason is before Christmas, it would really help generate more revenue for the teams as well. More ticket sales plus merchandise…
  19. Interesting: in the comments Law said Jays have been pretty good at finding talent in Latin America, but player development has been bad. Barriera write up is pretty gross. Said he gained 50 pounds. Wonder if the jays just completely whiffed on the makeup or what but how the hell do you even gain that much weight lol.
  20. Ridley Greig is a hero. Love the move, the rivalry needed energizing honestly.. Those early 2000s matchups were so much more fun than hockey is now. Leafs fans in shambles, I'm loving it.
  21. Oh I know he isn't by World rankings I just meant it more as if he's the best right now in people's opinions.
  22. I do feel like people are forgetting how bad Kikuchi was in 2022. Its not inconceivable he turns back into a pile of crap. Even Berrios there could be some regression.
  23. Jays will probably sign someone next week and Parsons gets removed from the 40 man making all this discussion about him moot lol. If he's seeing time on the roster this season something went badly wrong.
  24. Has Taylor taken over Conners as the best Canadian on tour? What a first round. Last year I was at the tourney and he had a great week as well.
  25. Don't think KK would be a good fit at all as a 4th OF if Bellinger was here given you'd have 3 LH OF. In late game PH opportunities you'd be wasting 2 sports by having a RHB PH for Varsho/KK and then the other taking over for them defensively. Also really doubt Bellinger is signing with the Jays.
