  1. Well offer the most $ and you'll likely get your guy.
  2. If he has the season he's projected for his price only skyrockets. Plus maybe you can get him now since he's only made league min. up until this point. Once players start to getting Millions in Arb. they're already well off enough they can just wait it out.
  3. Wonder if they are talking extension with Stroman. He's in Toronto right now.
  4. Sure it does. If you have a valuable asset that is only going to depreciate why hold on to it? Say I have a 2015 Chevy Suburban. If I don't need an SUV for another 3 years it makes sense to sell that Suburban now maximizing the value I can get out and buying an SUV when I need one again rather than just holding on to that SUV for 3 years when it is worth less + paying the costs to maintain it.
  5. I get nervous every time I hear Edward Rogers in the same sentence as the Blue Jays.
  6. The local media just loves asking about the John Gibbons extension. Lol if they haven't signed him to one now I doubt they are going to.
  7. Certainly not the be all end all but its a good stat used in the right context. Like JV and DD have always never had good ratings and the sample is large enough where it can't just be a coincidence anymore.
  8. Only thing I see why they would give Carerra that would be if they plan on sending him to Buffalo and believe he's worth paying that much money to be depth. There is no way he should be getting regular ABs. Reminds me of Goins as the everyday starting 2nd baseman in 2014.
  9. They have lots of prospects to trade.. Alford, Pompey, Reid Foley, Tellez, Gurriel etc.. The notion that the Jays can't trade for players because they don't have the prospects is false. Its just the Jays are unwilling to make the moves.
  10. Org seems to not be a fan. His rebounding is terrible and he's still has rough parts of his game but his hands and touch around the rim + his length on defense more than make up for it. His On/Off number are elite.
  11. Without AA's trades this team has already traded Donaldson, Martin, Estrada, Osuna and is in the middle of a rebuild. Tulo trade was a big win with Reyes being a $50 Million loss and Hoffman having a bad debut. Norris and Boyd haven't really done much either. I don't get why people make it sound like the 2015 trades were bad, they were clear wins.
  12. Maybe they trade him after seeing how ugly his form on the leg press was...
  13. AA is a pretty good executive. If he wasn't the Dodgers wouldn't have hired him. He's got very good negotiating skills and in this day and age its kind of rare to see a GM do everything so that can be pretty valuable.
  14. I don't like how they say Toronto won't be able to afford 2 OF. If Colby Rasmus only cost $5 Million you should be able to sign Bautista for 17 and another platoon corner OF like Moss. In now way should Carrera have a starting spot on the team.

  16. I think the WBC would be better if they held it during the season and have a 1 week break around it. That way everyone would be focused on it and players+pitchers would already be ready to play without limitations. Now you might get some players to pass and use it as rest but thats happening now anyway.
  17. He had a better game but he's been worse this season. Maybe (Hopefully) he's healthy and he can turn the corner.
  18. Will be heading down there late February/Early March.
  19. Lets check out the facts. wRC+ in 2014 Jose 160 Edwin 151 Jose is 2 years and 2 Months older.
  20. Good thing The Blue Jays are trying to win the Likeable World Series.
  21. Its a Hard Cap now so you can't do that anymore.
  22. I'd rather have Bautista than any of the FA options left and it isn't even close. Even with crap defense a 3-4 Win season isn't unrealistic. Funny how no one cared about the pick when talking about Edwin while also giving him $80 Million.
  23. Spending time on a possible Cutch for Vlad deal straight up seems like a useless exercise. There has been nothing to suggest Toronto's FO is willing to make a prospect deal like this. And Pittsburgh is going to want a lot more than just Vlad Jr. straight up.
  24. Thats a lot of could/ifs though. A lot of teams would be really good if they got 2015 Bautista, the Jays included. (MAKE IT HAPPEN)
  25. Maybe that gets the OF market moving a bit. If the Jays could get Moss for around that I'd sign him this week.
