Honestly I think that deal isn't anything special. The $20 Uber thing is literally available to anyone already and the tickets are above face value.. A free App isn't bad but to save 12 bucks on that to spend an extra $30 on tickets? No thanks. -
Players hate those guys but at the STH signings and at games its mostly kids and older guys with collections. The worst you could ever do is try to get an autograph when they are eating dinner or with their family/away from the ballpark. I like to collect signed baseballs but you basically have to sell a few to afford a collection. Like I sold one of my JD signed balls for $150 in order to get a Votto ball I wouldn't be able to get. And at $25/ball its a pretty expensive hobby.

If he was really sought after a team would just give up a pick to sign him now. Not every team has to give up a 1st round pick.

Now that I'm on that topic most of the guys on the Jays were pretty good with the fans and autographs. Dickey hated it and Martin literally didn't show up to the event. Pillar seemed to be one of the best.

I got Stroman to sign a few items when I went to Dunedin last spring and he was actually one of the better ones I found. Signed 2 baseballs and even took a pic. Funny because I thought of Donaldson when I heard that statement. Shouldn't complain because he did sign a couple baseballs but literally didn't look at the person and it was more of a scribble than an autograph. At the STH singing in Toronto a kid asked him if he could put "MVP 15" on the ball and he said "We don't do that here, kid"

Agree 100%. Moss seems like a good fit to platoon with Upton but they still need another OF. Bautista is a huge upgrade over the rest of the OF on the market.

He's not good defensively but his bat makes up for it. He's a worthy upgrade over the crap currently in the corner OF on the team.

Christ after seeing this and a f***ing reddit post I really regret posting that question. As if someone actually took the time to go through Stroman's entire Twitter feed back over a year. The guy posts like 10 f***ing times/day.

He's probably the 4th maybe 5th best reliever too.

Why the hell would they offer EE $80 Million and not get a pick vs Jose $17 Million for players who project to be pretty similar. Add in the fact Jose fill a position of need.

Remember reading his curveball was one of the best pitches in the league last year. Awesome depth piece.

Thats the part I hate the most. Seemed every f***ing start in April or May the Broadcast would talk about how close they were and how they push each other to be great. Doesn't make a difference in terms of cheering for them or the team.

Yeah I know he's shady as hell, I remember hearing about the hookers. He also gets his clients very lucrative deals. Pujols and Votto's contracts were big wins for the players.

Well they lived together in Dunedin and don't anymore same with Toronto. I mean really it doesn't matter if they like each other, just find it off they used to be everywhere together.

Also giving 5 year Max contracts to Lowry and Milsaap (who's 32) and going deep into the luxury tax might not be the best idea. They have been the best offence in history, they don't need a 3rd scoring option...What they need is better defense. Derozan and JV on the floor together are a trainwreck at that end.

Was it ever found out what happened between him and Stroman? Used to share the same agent, live together be basically tied at the hip. Now.. nothing.

TBH most cities are like that but Montreal seems to be one of the worst. Reason why I think the Expos are a pipe dream.

Even though they are really overpriced they should get more than 8K people. Montreal is a pretty bad sportstown.

lol looks like there's 5-8K there. HockeyCanada doesn't seem to realize holding the tournament in Toronto/Montreal 2/3 years is a stupid idea.

Oilers have been terrible because they don't understand depth. They're still a terribly run franchise but McDavid is masking it, take him away and they're right back to being a bottom 5-10 team.

Outside of a few playoff games has JV ever shown he can be a difference maker? Post ups are really inefficient shots so he's no use there. He's a great rebounder and good at setting screens but his defence gets exploited where he just isn't that good of a player. If JV +++ for Cousins is remotely possible I'd do that in a second.
