  1. I think many people don't love the on-field Bautista, but I'll take it. Sure he whines but I don't care, he produces. And he's a really nice guy for those who have had the chance to meet him.
  2. So do our players need to go on the radio now and talk about how they don't like Holland cause he wiped his ass with a jays rally towel? Jesus what a knob. Players all around the league don't like certain players, they don't openly talk about it. Holland's a complete goof ball. I've always hated him since they did a piece about him before one of the 2011 playoff games. He's a guy that thinks he's funny, but he's not. And I doubt his teammates find his performance on the mound anything to laugh about either.
  3. I woke up with a very odd sense of calm. Not devastation, just an odd feeling of comfort. Wishful thinking? Perhaps. But I feel like Saturday night we're going to be watching a ball game.
  4. Loup wasn't available, got a phone call before game and had to leave (assume death in family, though not announced). Only real other option was Lowe unless you're bringing in Sanchez or Osuna already at that stage. However Lowe was a much much better option.
  5. Gibby has made a few questionable decisions in the ALCS. It doesn't help having a weak pen, but when that's the case you need to optimize it's use and he hasn't done that so far this series. Yesterday's use of Tepera was beyond questionable, I don't see how that can be rationally explained - not just because of the use of Tepera in a bases loaded situation but also the fact he hasn't pitched in 3 weeks. Not fair to him. Lowe was his only real other option, and he tried to explain that he wanted to save him, but in a 3 run game I don't agree. I will/have defended Gibby when he takes unwarranted criticism, but I have no issue being critical of a decision when it calls for it.
  6. The way tickets were sold as strips I suppose it makes some sense. Most people never intended to go to every single game, yet everyone owns all the games. They aren't able to go to each one, whether because of time or finances, so the secondary market is flooded. Also didn't help that 98% of fans assumed they were done when they were down 2-0 to Texas, so no one was eyeing ALCS tickets. Combine afternoon times and it's the perfect storm.
  7. It really is, if people can go this is a great opportunity
  8. Only 12? That's excessively responsible if you ask me. Class act.
  9. http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/bautista-someone-called-me-off/ He certainly comes off douchey.
  10. I just saw that as him being pissed off in general, he was being a dick to every reporter and clearly was annoyed with having to answer questions about that mistake in the game. Was a very odd interview. But I don't really see it as him throwing Goins under the bus if you watch the whole thing
  11. We're a good team. We can still win this series. David Price doesn't suck. Neither does Ryan Goins. Neither does this team. A day off will do us some good. We'll win on Monday.
  12. who cares, they're not gonna use him when we're up by 6 tomorrow anyways
  13. Well that's about as inaccurate as it gets
  14. The good news is that we're still the superior team by a wide margin. Less talented teams win playoff games, so they got the 1st. They won't beat us in the series.
  15. LOL, yeah just like the Texas series right? We had a bad game and then lost the series......oh .....wait. And we actually had some very good at bats throughout the game, sometimes you just tip your hat to the guy(s) on the mound.
  16. No, and with EE we've seen him need 2-4 games off a few times this year. I don't like that he's getting an xray, just hope it's nothing more serious than in the past.
  17. We'll get em tomorrow, at least we worked a lot of counts and walks. Just couldn't get that big hit. Let's hope EE is back as Smoak has just been rotten as of late.
  18. That was Jim Wolf I believe
  19. That's just it, who cares who we play, it's not like we're going to be in the World Series and playing a s***** team. Cubs and Mets are both good, but it's hard for me to find a way to argue that either of those teams are better than the Jays.
  20. I have a 3 month old and would never think about taking him. Maybe in the last row of the 200s or something, but I wouldn't expect to be able to stay the whole game. Seems like a bad idea.
  21. Decent drop in prices overnight and even more supply added
  22. There are over 6400 tickets on stubhub at the moment, no need to rush to buy anything. My best guess is that prices will drop - if there's still 3,000 tickets available by tomorrow night you should see a slight drop in prices.
  23. I feel almost sad saying it, but I feel like the stress of the playoffs has taken away from the enjoyment for me. Thinking and worrying about the Jays dominates my days!
