    My gawd, the people that actually think Gibbons made these decisions have really gone full retard. While I'm sure he gave some input to shatkins, their is no way these roster decisions were left up to him. (Closer excluded) Even if in your crazy stupor you somehow believe Gibbons made said decisions, you should be pointing the finger upstairs for allowing it to happen in the first place, not blindly s***ing all over Gibby.

    Why aren't the jays taking the cautious approach with regards to Estrada? The logical move here would be to DL him to start the season and let his back get healthy. Roll with Sanchez and Floyd in the rotation which allows them to carry a bullpen that consists of Storen Osuna Cecil Chavez Biagini Choate Leon or.Delabar Once Estrada is healthy, the prospect of sneaking Leon or Delabar through waivers increases as most teams will have their respective rosters set. It just makes sense to start Marco out on the DL, which also affords them more time with the decision of Sanchez vs Floyd.

    Other than dickey, who's a lock for 200 ip, I'd bet at least 2 out of the rest of the staff won't even sniff 150 ip. A 6 man rotation until somone goes down isn't that ludicrous. Not that I'm advocating for it, just wouldn't be as crazy as some think.

    In all fairness, they really arent comparable as relievers at all other than points 1 and 2. Janssen was a completely different kind of pitcher and had at least 5 pitches he used in his mix (4 if you throw out the change) not very typical for a back-en reliever. The majority of his strikeouts were the product of hitters guessing at what was coming next as his stuff was meh across the board. The 67% to 48% groundball rate is quite the discrepancy as well. I can see where Grant is coming from when he says they are nothing alike and would tend to agree with him.
