    I should of phrased it better, wasn't my intent to imply you were a douchebag. Its just that at some point, when you've earned as much as Arod has, money shouldn't be a primary issue when coming to a decision whether to retire or not. That to me, would give Arod that greed driven label.

    Did he?, I remember him being humble in the media when asked about it. Did he end up winning that battle with Hank?

    I recall Yankees management fighting over the HR bonus with him when he first came back from his suspension. They made claims like "it's a tainted record so he shouldn't receive the bonus". I'm not sure how that played out, but I remember being surprised that ARod didn't speak up about when asked by the media.

    He's made 400+ million in salary, not.including endorsements. He's still worth 325+ million. Even if he were walking away from it, which he isn't, how exactly would it be "stupid" to walk away from money he doesn't need at all?

    This reeks of a minor player revolt with regards to Sanchez heading to to bullpen. Management doing a 180 in less than 24 hrs after the GM flies in definitely has players decision written all over it. It would be interesting to find out who was the most vocal in that meeting, but that probably won't happen till Bats is signed by Dave Stewart to a 6 year 175 million deal.

    I live in kitchener and the fan 590 barely comes in, 570 news in kitchener picks up most of the jays games, but it sure doesn't seem like the 590 range had been extended this year.
