    It was an exaggeration, thought it was obvious with the ss comment, my guess is you were one other guys who like his arm, explains your extremely defensive nature

    Lotsa folks were raving about his arm, braves are my 2nd team and I watched him throw the ball away a ton while he was there. They chose Chris Johnson over him, and he's a terrible defender,and like I said a few weeks back, should be at 1st or dh only. Most of you will sour on him soon

    Ok, thanks, I thought I read somewhere that a certain amount of the slot money had to be offered in order to qualify for the following years pick, and I agree, Jays should lock up both asap as both are great talents.

    Doesnt sound that crazy, i bet La Russa would of tried it had he had Dickey at his disposal. I don't think Dickey would like the idea of it too much though.

    What are the rules with regards to not signing a first round pick, do the jays have to offer a certain amount of allotted slot money to this years picks in order to get a first rounder next year if the player declines to sign? Or can they just not offer anything and retain the pick for next year?

    Mine was a one-hopper that took a wierd bounce at short, tried to play it fundamentally with two hands and it smoked my ring finger, I still made the throw to 2nd when i realized my nail had popped up and it was bleeding. Did you consider ripping off the nail?

    Well he should be listed as a 1B, and the only real competition would be Miggy, and they should be neck and neck. I just voted 50 times, with both emails. I'm considering creating fake accounts to bump up his totals, just broke my finger playing a ball tourney on the weekend and ill be off work for a while so I have a s*** ton of free time

    i don't understand why EE isn"t listed as a 1B, he's played 63 games there to date. What exactly qualifies him as a DH?

    so what is the point of drafting Drew Lugbauer if he's fully committed to college? Was he just a back up we could throw a ton of money at in case we didnt sign morgan, pentacost or that papainksi kid?

    why do a lot of you get butt-hurt so easy? try using some lube, it helps.

    A little to nice with your assessment, Dickey was not good tonight 5+IP 7H 2ER 4BB 4 SO. And he was saved by a couple of nice defensive plays, but I do agree with convo, if he can give us 6 or 7 innings of 3 run ball, the way this team hits he will come out on the winning side more often than not.

    Santos is really good, when he can command his fastball, not so much if he cant.

    I agree with this post, his k rates and bb rates are skewed based on the fact that he is pretty much throwing exclusively fastballs. If this line of development improves his overall fastball command in the future, then these stats will be as meaningless down the road, as they are to me today. I still have high hope that this kid will figure it out.

    I really don't think a few weeks will hurt his development, and if bringing in a better sp is the byproduct of waiting until the deadline, you wait.
